ONE CAN USE THORIUM MIXED WITH PLUTONIUM FURTHER MIXED WITH URANIUM 238 IN HEAVY WATER REACTORS.

This is not the big a jump. They have been using Thorium and Plutonium mixtures for many years. The Thorium isn't that important...it requires U-235 mixed into the mix

Thanks for the info, good to know! However, ANEEL appears to be a more promising alternative to conventional nuclear fuel than MOX. ANEEL requires less uranium, produces less waste, and is more proliferation-resistant.

@@SciTechJoe Sounds great. Hopefully the US and Canadian regulators will agree. However it's important to remember that this isn't a Thorium reactor. It's a Uranium 235 reactor that happens to use Thorium as a substrate.

India is on the final stage to produce thorium based nuclear energy ☺️.
India will stop dependence on importing uranium from other countries.
And well India also has the largest thorium reserve on earth around 27%.
