She was a lover of broadway , singing, acting, always loved wicked and made this video and now her face is everywhere as Glinda. It’s so dope to see her reach the goals she made over 12 years ago. In Italy and France he’s super popular
just because someone isn’t considered a top artist in the US doesn’t make them any less famous. US/North America isn’t the center of the world. plus Mika is a well-respected and known artist in Europe, especially in Italy and France.
bbh's puta ik that he’s more famous outside of the US i just meant that since so many people have grown up with his songs like in the US for example, he should get more recognition like other non american famous artists such as celine dion, shakira, adele, etc.
He had his prime time. His song 'Grace Kelly' was number 1 the day I was born and he's older than my parents.
He actually sing mostly in French so he’s really popular in French (and most of Europe) and in Quebec, Canada (where I live)

came here to read the comments after the movie. i was never an ariana stan (very much a mika stan and broadway baby) but i knew she would treat the role of glinda well and she NAILED IT. Someone who has wanted this her entire life and got it is exactly what the movie needed and she didn't let us down. I'm sure when she did this song she had the thought it may be as close as she could get but she NEVER gave up on getting EXACTLY what she wanted and she really worked for it and earned it. I can't see anyone else in that role now I am so happy it was her.

So this song exists because it's based on the song "Popular" from the 2003 musical, Wicked.
The musical Wicked is adapted from the 1995 book "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West"
That book only existed because it served as a prequel for the 1939 film "The Wizard of Oz"
And that film only existed because it was an adaptation of the 1900 book "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" written by L Frank Baum.

@@hellyhellhound No it's not. autotune is just pitch correction. What you know as T-pain autotune is just the pitch correction slider turned all the way up so it creates obvious robotic sounds. But all pop studio artists have some tune on their voice. In fact, the better you are at singing (like ariana & mika), the less noticable it becomes that it is on, because they obviously need less. So I agree with Samuel, there's a little bit of tune, but mostly Mika is just amazing
