Can't wait to listen to my three all-time favorite songs : Sonic X's Opening, Sonic Spinball's Option Menu and Central City from Sonic Chronicles while running across the map.

I remember scoring my first goal in footy and getting the sonic X dvd set as a surprise present my mum was saving for when finally got the first one, such a happy memory :)

I’m just glad I can finally replay the boss fights without starting a new game.
Smart to make us collect the music. Makes the replay value go up and honestly I'm ready to jump back into this game. This was actually a very good 3D Sonic game.

@@ZepTheGamer Nahh, you don't understand, there's something magical about hearing these songs IN game rather than just on UA-cam... There's also something really fun about finding the songs as you go through the islands, too! (If you didn't spoil yourself) then you don't know what song you're gonna unlock next! So far the song choices are really unique and fitting! They're not all fan favorites, there are songs that people don't talk about at all in there, that I wouldn't listen to on my own normally. Also idk, listening to Sonic songs in the music player or in the level itself in Generations will always hit different
loving the jukebox mode, really adds something that was missing to the open zone experience
one problem though, how do you loop a song? I can see the loop icon but nothing I do works

One thing I would like for the game is change between day and night so that way we don't have to wait so long to finally do the night challenges.
New speedrun category idea: see how quickly you can get the music note that gives you Live and Learn (or whatever other, objectively worse song you want)

Man this new update is making me jump back into this game, loved this game, but after beating it I had no reason to return, now that there is new content I’m going to try to 100% this game, I’m thinking finish the upgrades for attack and speed, find every coco, and complete every area

I didn't think I'd ever want to buy a Sonic game again, but they seem to be killing it on this one
They definitely knocked it out of the park
I remember in 2012 when cobanermani456 had Sonic songs on his PS3 for his Sonic 4 Episode 2 playthrough to listen to while playing the levels. If Cobi hadn't quit UA-cam in 2018 he would've reacted to this. RIP Cobi's UA-cam career. 2010-2018.

What kind of challenges are there for the Cyberspace levels? Wasn't time trial already a thing with trying to get a S rank?

Ehhh.. yes and no this games titan songs are a step above crush 40, it took another 20 years but we finally got better songs

Fun Fact: if you complete Battle Rush with S rank you unlock Extreme difficulty, for those who thought Frontiers was too easy even on hard, Extreme makes it so that you can't level up any of Sonic's stats, enemies are tougher and if you get hit once you die

Actually, I really like how Sega embraces the critics on this game. It is not afraid to show that it's a 4/5 (8/10) game, not a perfect one with a lot of issues, and then they decide to polish it and add more to make that 180 flip like No Man's Sky did. Hope they succeed.
So thiiis is why FRONTIERS started blowing up in my ad feeds and all these sales on it. Makes sense now. They were preparing us haha.

Hm not bad, I mean for those who really enjoyed the bosses and doing challenges and such its def a good one. I'll probably boot up the game again mostly to collect the jukebox notes since I'm not overly crazy about challenges and boss rushes. Maybe if the switch had achievements for this game I would, but otherwise im good for the time being.
this update and probably the second one seem like they’re just gonna be adding quality of life features to make repeat playthroughs better and some extra content for hardcore fans. i think we’re gonna have to wait until update 3 for major new content
