Fractured Fairytale ~ The True Story

Let me tell you a story
It happened oh so long ago
Was in a bushland
Where a gorgeous river flowed
I was hiking with a mate
Aurora was her name
After what we saw that day
Aurora was never the same
It was a bright and sunny day
We were both enjoying the sights
Then all the bushland critters
Scurried away in fear and fright
The gorgeous river it bubbled
And a creature began to emerge
Out crawled a giant bunyip
It was no longer submerged
Oh I looked at Aurora
And she looked back at me
This was the craziest thing
We ever did see
The bunyip stood so tall
I swear it blocked out the sun
Aurora and I locked eyes
We knew there was nowhere to run
The bunyip let out a mighty roar
We both thought we were finished
As the bunyip stepped closer
Our hopes of survival had diminished
But Aurora had a plan
As she reached in her backpack
She pulled out a knife and fork
And she went right on the attack
I couldn't believe what I was seeing
I just stood there in awe
Aurora started eating the bunyip
Until he was there no more
She ate every bite
Every horn and fur
If only that bunyip knew
Not to mess with her
Then something strange happened
Aurora she began to change
I wanted to call for help
But my phone service was not in range
All I could do was watch
As her hair was turning green
She grew so many horns
I counted at least seventeen
Aurora's eyes glowed red
Her mouth began to drool
I knew my time was up
But I still stood there like a fool
She gobbled me up
That's how I came to die
This whole story was true
I swear I would never tell a lie
Aurora jumped into the river
With not so much of a flail
She lives there to this day
And with that ends this tale
