Yeah, this version forgoes the whole "Coco interrupting Cortex's final broadcast" approach completely. I'd guess she was merely encouraging Crash before the final battle and that was it.

Apparently the term "crystal" was too complex for Japanese tastes, so they changed it to "power stone".
