Looking forward to getting out of the basement and getting onto the range this weekend and try your instruction for the first time. Really like the practice like you play sequence at the range, makes so much sense. Maybe one mulligan 😂
Thanks for watching! If YT subscribers spent as much time learning how to practice effectively as they do watching videos to hit it further they would play a lot better!! 🤣🤣
So important to feel the swing! The ball is a distraction! It should be incidental, getting in the way of the swing. Thanks for watching what is clearly not a trending topic!! 🤣🤣🤣
I have been working on a more hands and arms dominated swing versus my historical body driven swing. As I have gotten older the body just does not work as well as it used to. My question to you is this. What about a drill where I am throwing a golf ball from my right hand at set up trying to hit the golf ball on the ground in front me? The feel when actually hitting a ball is a right hand throwing motion down at the ball on the ground.
Steve, I love the trail arm throw drill - As long as the trail shoulder is being directed down towards the ball and not out and over! I’ve attached a drill using the same idea swinging a club with the trail arm only! Stabilizing the left shoulder prevents him from transition spinning! ua-cam.com/users/shortsYQFgPOwUZsw?si=26deV29-jYWC1lvs Best, Coach A. 🏌️♂️⛳️🙏🏻
It makes sense, pair the mirror work with slow mo and eyes closed swings! You have to convert visual cues to feels, and then swing at a speed that will allow you to ingrain that feel over time! Best, Coach A. ⛳️🏌️♂️🙏🏻
Very nice video. Reinforces some of the things that we went over in an in person lesson with Coach Andrew. One of the focuses of the lesson (that I gleaned) was that I have to change my movement pattern. Pretty impossible to do starting off at full speed. But possible slowing things down. I'm now able to feel what is correct. And I can start speeding it up. I was worried that this change was going to take years, but I'm already making significant progress. Thanks Coach A, all the best, happy holidays. Jeff
Andrew, The last year and a half I have been really working on changing my swing with fairly good results. I think being reminded every so often of how to practice properly is a real good thing for me. Lately, I have been noticing I am early extending. I was actually trying to fix it making pretty much full swing speed. As you mentioned, the results were predictable. I struggled mightily. Only after doing some drills really slowly and then making full swings slowly was I able to make any meaningful gains. Because I knew the correct technique to not early extend, I had this crazy idea that by having this knowledge it would automatically transfer to my regular speed swing. Yeah, right!😮 Thanks for the helpful info! I feel like the minute you stop wanting to learn is the minute your game starts going downhill. As you are well aware, golf is a lifelong pursuit to get better.
You feel it, you’ll own it! How you practice is very important if you want to effect meaningful change. Not a trending subject - I knew that when I launched it this morning. If you don’t have the word Speed or Distance in the title!?! 🤣🤣. Regardless - I felt like it was an important topic that I wanted in my video library for my subscribers. As always, thanks for your comment. Best, A. 🏌️♂️⛳️🙏🏻
If only they knew that this video is true building blocks/ foundation for speed & distance then maybe more ppl would pump the brakes n go back to working on feel of form & allow speed and distance to enter the chat naturally....
I've learned alot about "the swing" from watching ur vids only been playing since march and jus broke into the 80s last week ,,, still a ton more to learn but im working , diy range net in backyard & swinging @ air on lunch break to film n watch face to path & form/mechanics .... bit by the bug lol thanks for all of your help & advice 🙏
There are golfers that have been playing golf for years that can’t break 90. You did it in 8 months!! Wow! Congrats! That’s impressive to say the least. I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel. Keep up the good work - it’s a game for life and with some dedication you will continue to improve and become an excellent golfer! Thanks for the comment! Coach A. 🏌️♂️⛳️🙏🏻

What's helped me is a lot of repetition at home not even hitting a ball.

This is why I never have improved... since 20 years or so... Thank you very much Andrew and Merry Christmas!
Practice with a purpose in 2024!!! You’ll start improving quickly if you do.
Merry Christmas! Coach A. ⛳️🏌️♂️🙏🏻
I needed this video. I do to much mirror work. When I go to practice without the mirror I feel lost without the mirror if that makes sense.
