Old vid, but you can buy a dummy battery with all the power leads, so you can, in-effect have a charging battery while using the camera. The clue is the removable cover at the side of the battery compartment for the battery charging cable

Had (2) of the and sold them both same year.....just don't perform.
Had Nikon and Canon DSLR camera and not comparing them to this but the FZ1000ii just does not perform.

Very Nice Unboxing and First Look. I am interested in buying a bridge Camera. How is the still photo quality on this camera as compared to FZ2500. Should I buy FZ2500 or FZ1000 II? The FZ2500 is 3 years old but seems be have more features than this but perhaps is lacking in still photo quality. Please offer your opinion. Thanks.

I think when it comes to photo quality, there is not much difference between the two, FZ1000 II have newer menu system, and in video it have better auto focus for face and eye. The FZ2500 strong point is longer lens, and better video features plus the ability to record video internal and external at the same time, but older meny system, and autofocus in video not as reliable. Both though fast and reliable autofocus in photo mode. I think it comes down to price, unless you really need the video capability of the FZ2500. You can't go wrong with either if you are looking for 1" sensor bridge camera for photo.
