I got a Remington 700 SA BDL with a beautiful HS Precision stock in 270WSM. I currently load the rifle from the top but want to convert it to a detachable magazine. I'm going to order your Detachable Magazine Assembly Convertion Kit with the mediam and high capacity magazine and hopefully it will fit perfectly without the need a gunsmith o mayor adjustments.

Git one. Doesnt fit. What do i do about it. Fits my stock (after major inleting) but the mag hits the "upper" idk what to call it but its right infront of the trigger assembly. Mag hits it, wont lock in place.

Do you guys have anything for adjusting the feed lips on a SKS magazine and how to fit it to the rifle? I recently bought one in a private sale through a mutual friend and the magazine that came with it isn't feeding. The lips have to be open to far since the rounds will occasionally pop out while loading it. And it's a double stacked magazine and appear to be feeding off till the side of the chamber. Not to mention the tip of the round isn't angled up to feed into the chamber and instead strikes the flat surface below and off to the side causing it to stop rather than being angled toward the chamber so the tip of the
Round can assist in feeding it into the chamber. It's an old magazine and my buddy admitted to opening the feed lips and just eyeballing it. Before I go making any adjustments I would like to get the specs and hopefully an adjustment tool that was actually created to do the job instead of a flat head screwdriver like he used. Also from what I can find new magazines have to be fitted to the gun and since there are so many different manufacturers and many coming from China that there are slight variations making it impossible to manufacturer a direct fit replacement. I'm hoping that means simply filing a little of the edges, rounding them a little and something like that and not adjusting the feed lips etc. I mean the chamber sits in the center above the magazine so it makes sense that the round should be angled up and feed be stripped of the mag from the center in an upwards motion towards the chamber. The one I have the lips are separated wider than a round and I'm not even sure what keeps them from just all popping out of the mag when I take my thumb off the top they fit in there so loosely due to the unprofessional adjustment and lack of due care. And from someone who is generally very good at fixing guns and components. He has fixed several of mine and we have built several together. Apparently he needs to rethink his approach to magazines.

Hey Mike - It might work, but we can't guarantee it. We also do not have the specs for adjusting the SKS. You may be better off getting a new mag.

@@OfficialHSPrecision I kind of figured that. I have 2 that should be delivered today.

@@OfficialHSPrecision well 2 new polymer mags from "Gun mag warehouse" and my Norinco SKS is back up and running. It feeds flawlessly. The only issue is that the mags don't drop free and I can't get to the part that holds the bolt back so I can reach in from the top and push the mag free if the mag still has rounds in it. Any ideas on that one?

Is that a proprietary magazine or is an AICS or similar pattern magazine?
