i get uptiered like 65 to 70% of the time in this tank to fight tigers and panthers. making this tank 4.7 rly ruined it with how frequent USA gets uptiered as a whole. especially with Gaijin nerfing USA engine performance *for no reason*
Just wait for the uptier of +0.3 (5.0) on the next update. Like b1 ter on 2.7 (useless heavy meme) or C202.D on 2.7 (at least still good) This vehicles were from Warbond Shop
A lot of tanks can pen its turret checks. The T-34-57 can one shot it through there with the standard APHE round. But still, this tank is amazing in situations
i only really use it in downtiers against 3.7 tanks, its pretty unstoppable in that situation. but i think in equal matches or uptiers, its kinda underwhelming and i only use it at the end. i think 4.7 is a bit too high for the t-14 especially since its a premium. they should lower its br back
@@flectz Yeah... 4.7, sometimes when you get ful uptier it becomes kinda terrible. The armour effectiveness lowers significantly, and the gun is bad against basically anything 5.7
@@TSkillessB like why would i bought it if i used my GE, just buy the premium jumbo at 5.3 for better armor.. fortunately i bought it with Warbonds because i have no life😎👍
Mid tier is definately where the fun is in this game. I have nearly all nations fully unlocked and the amount of bullshit in high tier (choppers, atgm planes, cardbox sized maps) is not standable for me anymore. Mid tier seems in a much better state.
Turret is the only troubling thing in this tank. Other than that it is great for taking shots up front. German long 75mm will sometimes bounce the shots if the angle is correct.
you quit because you sucked, sry to say.. spawn killing is so rare, i really dont care about. Well, you have to be more in the winning team i guess, and i am.
Kinda, but not really. It depends. The t14 and sherman jumbo are just called assault tanks bc that's what the US called them back then. But really they perform the same function as a heavy tank. I guess the difference is that they have heavy tank armor, but not heavy tank firepower. That being said, the T28/T95 is also called an assault tank and that does have good firepower, but isn't really like a heavy tank.
@@eillswim yes I know, but it was still called an assault tank. The sherman jumbo was also called an assault tank. This guy is asking what the difference between an assault tank and a heavy tank is so I was trying to explain how it's basically just a name.
And with the Jumbo and T95, in War Thunder, they work far better vs lower Battle Rating (BR) opponents than higher BR ones (so I think you should avoid using them in uptiers). War Thunder tends to have trouble balancing such vehicles, so gives them at a BR where they are only good vs lower BRs to avoid them becoming horribly strong. Put them in line-ups with other vehicles (ones with better gun penetration) so you have options. As an aside, British Churchills can be fabulously tough. I always take my BR4.7 Churchill out in a downtier and sometimes it takes insane amounts of fire.
Dang, I do fairly badly in this tank! I wreck in some premiums, but not this one. Feels like I need to play very cleanly (great angling etc) to get good results. It doesn't feel 'heavy' armour-wise.
When they changed heavy spawn costs a while back they slowly started moving heavy armor up in BR so they're just slow mediums. There is no armor meta. You're not supposed to angle and trade shots, expect to be disabled and then die if you take shots - when they don't, you capitalize, but never ever just push with angling and try to stat check them. This is the wrong game for that. I mean yeah, you CAN just roll out and try to be a breakthrough tank but your K/D and therefore earnings will be crappier than if you hull down snipe people who aren't looking at you, just like with any tank. There are a few situations where you can know the enemy's gun will have very small targets and is unlikely to disable or destroy you on the first shot, and in those cases you can push them with angling and play the odds they're not good enough to barrel break/breech break/hit some small weak point reactively - but you're better off playing in a way where you get the first shot off and don't have to take hits.
@@CyberneticArgumentCreator I do find I still have an armour meta with things like the Matilda and some Churchills, which shrug off insane amounts of shots on a full downtier. The Valentine did too until they nerfed its armour last month. Up at 7.0br, my American T95 also does great on full downtiers. But yeah, no others that I play. I haven't played any Jumbo in ages but doubt they quite have the killer edge on full downtiers that the tanks I mentioned above have got. Whenever I'm on an uptier, I tend to take my tank with the best gun or best flanking instead, or even straight into an SPAA to try and surprise any early enemy planes.
@@mikefoster6018 I think most of the reason you take more shots in the matilda and early churchill is because the players don't care as much or are newer and less experienced down there.
@@CyberneticArgumentCreator Possibly, although in gazillions of battles in them I think there have been plenty of times when opponents are doing nothing wrong but just can't deal with my armour, even at short range. Either way, it's still an armour meta when those vehicles are around. I just don't use them in uptiers. I mean. 7.0 isn't low tier and opponents are decent, but the T95 still has a comfortable 3-1 kill death ratio for me. That's not huge (as I'm talking about partial or full downtiers), but it is *comfortable* - I mean, I'm not dodging and weaving around or working hard in the T95 - I just trundle and kill. I go have a strong crew in it though, which helps.

If you buy this, you are gonna be a Jumbo with less armor protection... Now its OP because you get downtiered vs 3.7 - 4.3 BR. And really few player knows the weak points of this tank. @@baimonexe My dude! It's a P-51 with 734 km/h top speed in BR of 3.7, in 4.0 or 4.7 it's still good. But the T14 is like a Jumbo with 50mm less armor on all sides. Be ready for 192mm Panthers and Jagdpanzers. Mega F, well anyways its your decision.
