My respect for Debbie grows every week. This wasn't going to be her strongest dance, but it had style and captured the right mood. She continues to be a surprising delight.
My personal favourite of her three dances so far. Gorgeous choreography and character in the routine. Full of highlights that the crowd responds to every time. Go Debbie!
I love Debbie, she looks amazing and dances so lovely. This was so undermarked it was great beating in mind how hard it is to dance in hold with the height difference present. Debbie is a breath of fresh air, lovely characterisation and some great dancing qualities shown. 8.
This was brilliant the dance of the night in my opinion Aston and Alexandra weren't even in it can't believe she is 58 and seems so gifted at dancing would love for her to win
i liked it wasn't her strongest but she did a good job i still think Debbie is a force reckoned with in this competition hope to see her in the finals i feel she could be the Pamela Stephenson of the season
So unfairly critiqued for this apparent '10 second rule' that has NEVER been mentioned or uttered once in the entire 15 Seasons of Strictly Come Dancing...but how convenient of them to ridicule her for this 'rule break'. I swear they must be told to tell certain celebs off that do well by Executives to keep it interesting when she clearly should have been scored near enough the same for her Viennese Waltz last week. Debbie you made this dance your own, well done ❤️. Judges...get your act together and your attitudes on a backbench where they belong!
Though I personally enjoyed the loose frame as I thought it added to the dance, it did need to be firmer. Her footwork was great though and it was a fun dance to watch! 8/10
Take a drink every time someone mentions she has dance training. Everyone keep pretending that being in a pop group and having musical theatre experience doesn't help you at all. Aston was a judge on a dance show and clearly has an advantage in some of the latin dances.
What is your point? yes she has dance training, and so does Aston and Alexandra to some extent, I don't think anyone is saying otherwise as you point out. From what I have seen, most people are calling Aston and Alexandra ringers but they pass on Debbie because of her age, which I don't think is fair considering she still is in good shape and has much more dance training than the other two.
I have seen it in some of the comments from their previous dances, and also from DS forum. Are you telling me you haven't seen anyone pointing out their dance experience? Hard to believe tbh
Cristian Moreno I actually haven't seen any and Debbie has had more comments aimed at her..in fact she's always being asked when doing interviews if she has an advantage!! Aston and Alexandra certainly don't get that
Great acting, great musicality, great hold. It was very dynamic and had sway. Her top line could have been better as well as her footwork. In addition, they broke hold at the middle of the dace. She is such a strong dancer and the whole number was wonderful but she needs to polish a little bit some details. A 7.
Great when in hold. Debbie tried to keep herself jelled onto Giovanni. Her running promenade was much better than Simon's attempt, but then she was a dancer, and it shows in this routine. It's a little strange that I wasn't quite connecting with them as much as I did with their previous two dances. It's like Debbie was just there 'doing her job'. 7.5
I think a big part of the problem with the Viennese Waltz and the Quickstep is that they don't suit her personality, she's performing them brilliantly but for some reason they're just not landing. However I expect amazing things from her: American Smooth, which allows for real dramatic flair. Charleston, high energy and high camp. Tango/Argentine Tango, which are very character driven. Rumba, during which Giovanni will fully exploit her ballet training.
Oooh, I'm so looking forward to that one! I hope that she doesn't by some disaster exit the competition before we get to see that. Actually, I'm hoping she gets all the way to the final. I thought that Craig penalising her for the 10 second rule was criminal, considering how many couples have got away with it over the years. And Shirley's gooing over Simon is sickening. Compare his plodding slowstep to this light and frothy quickstep. I thought this was a fantastic dance - yes, not her best, yes, room for improvement, but there was a lovely connection between her and Joe.
Looked the apart she did, YES! Danced the part? Not so much. Too much up in the shoulders and jumpy. She banged against Giovanni at least twice and they broke the rules... bad boy that Gio. When will we get her Cha Cha Cha? I wanna see cheeky Debbie again!
Aston expects to win every competition he enters, as he is and was a talented prodigy so glad he went out. The costume and flavour of dance was completly out of context. Jamok dancing can not be incorporated into such well renowned and performed dance. IE: Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. He should stick to body popping.
Debbie never ceases to amaze me... I love her and will always root for her..

Go Debbie!
My favourite couple this year. They're a dream to watch.
So much personality in this dance… loved it, especially the out of hold bit for more than 10 secs… You go Debbie all the way to the final!

Debbie is a very good dancer and the chemistry between these 2 is good too
This was brilliant the dance of the night in my opinion Aston and Alexandra weren't even in it can't believe she is 58 and seems so gifted at dancing would love for her to win
I would love Debbie to win..... she's so elegant and likable x
debbie was great tonight glad she was able to handle the speed in that quickstep
She is fabulous - it seems so effortless for her.
Brilliant effort, she's one of the best and the judges marked her too low for this dance.
Delightful
She's so likeable, Debbie to win !!
that was fun!! finals please ;)
i liked it wasn't her strongest but she did a good job i still think Debbie is a force reckoned with in this competition hope to see her in the finals i feel she could be the Pamela Stephenson of the season
I thought it was brilliant ..very enjoyable! Great footwork
So cute I love you together 😟😟😟 #strictlycomedancing

Shirl giving this one point more than Simon's QS (who also had 14s out of hold in the middle, Craig...). LOL #objectivejudging

Cristian Moreno you must be seeing it elsewhere as NOBODY has mentioned Aston and Alexandra's dance experience!

Go Debbie and goivinni
Newspapers again, sure hasn't that 10 second rule from Craig been ok since 2009 (I think) but she's still a good dancer, 7
I though that it was a bit safe for her but on the other side of that her feet were so speedy

GoAway LeaveMeAlone I can't wait for their rumba...

I'm definitely not a fan of that long hold break in the middle of the dance. Len would have raked Giovanni over the coals for that.
Great dancing aside, can we just agree that a fair few of us are genuinely jealous of her legs?
Where’s mike?
Looked the apart she did, YES!
