I'm an influencer, I always try to influence my kids away from idiots like Bradley Martin and TikTokkers. I influence them that majority of people on TikTok are complete losers that will amount to zero once all the dust settles and the prison around them tightens.
I once stepped on an elevator and was shocked to see what looked like a girl about to pee in the corner of it. She quickly pulled her pants up as I stepped on. When I asked her if she was about to pee in the corner she nervously says no, I was about to make a TikTok. I was like oh cool can I see it on your phone. Apparently she didn't have a phone with her 😕. True story. I can't make this shit up. Werid af building.

@@jeanm.9570 I'm not sure that those things make it any easier though. It could be considered ego lifting, but when I manage to 1 rm something I have no business lifting, even with imperfect form, I consider it a small victory. Of course then one must work on form to get to lifting that 1rm safely, but a win is a win.

I was always told when doing flat bench the bar should come across your nipples on the down stroke. So why do women who have hinges in their backs like the last girl bring the bar down closer to their bellybutton? I know it's for a short range of motion, but bringing it down that far is more for a close grip press, and her hands are spread far.

I'm so glad I lift at a local YMCA. We don't have a single influencer there. Videos and still photos are not allowed as matter of fact.
They explained what actually happened at that gym event. They wanted to let other people in so they could meet the gym influencers and the people just sitting there were refusing to leave so the others could come in.
still. imagine being someone that just went to the gym to work out that day. maybe that was another part of the gym and the workout was still possible. but if I went to the gym and got turned away because I'm not an "influencer", that's a dealbreaker. membership over. not like they'd care but still.
