i have a question. When we are going from true to compass, we calculate deviation from table using heading from magnetic but when we go from compass to true we use compass heading to find deviation. can you please explain
The magnetic and compass readings are generally pretty close to each other and only differs by deviation. I the case of the practice problems in these videos the deviation is never more than 4 degrees so using either magnetic or compass will give you a result that doesn't differ by more than about 1 degree.
