Beautiful! I love this vine. I love vigorous and invasive plants because I love active gardening. I want to be in the garden, working, maintaining and sculpting the living art. ❤
I’m trimming mine too. It is on a trellis. My question is, how is the growth pattern as it develops it’s flowers? Can I trim it without compromising the flower? I bought this because the flowers are highly fragrant! Another question, do you think this could act as a ground cover for a steep hillside? Thank you!
Mine usually develop flowers at the top- they're currently budded/blooming right now. I typically don't care and just shear away because of it's vigor! I've never experienced a smell with mine... but I've heard they do! I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work on a hillside! It grows crazy like an ivy but I don't know if it would root in. Under the deck it started to trail so I would imagine in a full sun hillside... it would love its life?! Worth a try!
Wow. It looks good, but because of the vigorous growth, I might try roses, wisteria, or honeysuckle instead, or perhaps even grapes. But if you don't mind the work I guess it's okay!

I just got one and I'm absolutely going to prune it hard, now that I'm sure it can take it
Beautiful ❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
Wish I'd have seen this before I bought 2 of them, think I'm to old to try to keep up with them!
Yes, when it's go time for this vine- they're pretty beastly!

On the other side, I grabbed some Claire Austin climbing roses! They didn't make it through last winter but I think roses would be beautiful!
