From the day I started mountain biking I knew about this route. This season I finally bit the bullet and took a day trip out to Keswick. Was it worth the 7 hour drive? Hell YES!
Amazing views from the Skiddaw summit, loose scree shaley descents down to Unlock. Onto the ridge... the ridge of all ridges! I thought it would just be all for the views (which it had for days) but wow, those techy slate lines...
The GPX will take you 2900ft up to the summit, all push/hike-a-bike as preferred, followed by a scree descent. Then you have an optional push back up to the summit to do the second scree descent (caution! steep and a big drop off), followed by the route along the ridge.

What made you do the 2 descents? I’m planning this ride this week, I usually ride golfie trails etc, is this more techy? I’m abit nervous 😂

Where the best place to park and start the climb?
Is your mate about to piss on the trig point? Lol... Noooooo. Great vid. I'm not sure if I'll do it on the alpine 6 or the ebb.. Did you change tore pressure for rocks?
The speed isn’t high over the rocks given the terrain so I don’t go super high like I would for rough rock gardens.
If you are unlucky enough to tear a sidewall on the sharp stuff I think that would happen at any pressure!
