Hi, great work with extraordinary results in end ! Congratulations and thank you for presenting us those 'new' watches. If you order the lume - C3 or BGW-9 - from RCtrictrec how many gr does it have to be for a minumum order ? Would that quantity be enough to relume 4-5 watches ? Assuming it wouldn't be very hard to open the watch the after work - painting with a very thin brush - would be a very delicate work. Can also the plastic lens from those field CASIOs be replaced with a glass lens or it's glued to the bezel ? Best regards from Canada !
radu197666 thank you, you can order lume on our webpage trigalux com. The lenses are glued and can’t be replaced by crystal ones. With one gram of pigment you can lume aprox 8-10 Watches with similar dials.
you can buy on ebay a protective FX-Hybrid-Glass foil laser-cut in the right shape from atfolix in Germany that's 0,2mm thick and feels like real glass
I got the Superluminova from RCtritec.comIt's not that hadt do disassemble a watch, but you should do some practice with cheap watches before starting with the real thing.Cheers!
@pingpang420 i do use superluminova, noctilumina, Beregon, AF and NT. the difference is high, because the stock lume dooes not even last one hour. i used the white bezel from a white dialed one...
They'd probably send it to a specialist like International Dial or Kirk Dial. It would cost far, far more than just replacing the Casio MRW200 (which sells for less than $20) with a watch with better lume, like a Casio Duro (a real diver's watch for less than $50). Or get a Seiko 5 for less than $200 and have a nice automatic for your collection. If you do it yourself, though -- like this uploader did -- you only pay for the materials and whatever your time is worth.
