One hour spend to understand from the professor. 4 minutes and i can describe it simply and well. holy crap...

Is there any good device that is about the same or at least less this solid system.

SOLiD and 454 Sequencing are not same. both are so different chemistry

    Wow...
We students really need a video to aid understanding...
It is really hard to understand the dibase concept by reading the lectures notes or the textbook....
My god... how am i going to explain this during the exam????

Nice Video, But why didn't they use 1 nucleotide instead of using 4 nucleotides?

Why SOLiD sequencing could guarantee better and more accurate sequencing reads than other new generation sequencing methods?

Still does not explain the synthesis/sequencing mechanism (by ligation) with dinucleotide probes. She pretty much just says it happens lol

454 = Pyrosequencing (uses luciferase to emit light). SOLiD = Sequencing of Oligonucleotides by Ligation/Detection (uses dyed oligos that colour code the first 2 bases).
Tbh, this video doesn't explain it well at all. Too much jargon and the woman talking has a strong accent :/
