I can't find anything about the marvin essentials having weepholes, and another recent video of an essentials install doesn't seem to show them. Are you sure that's the current design? Thanke!

We got this Marvin Essential sample in October of 2023, so it has to be the latest one. We did not hear about any updates from Marvin yet

Can the fuzzy weatherstripping on the Impervia be replaced if it wears out in 5, 10, 15 years?
    Thanks

Quick note on energy efficiency from a mechanical engineer and full time energy analyst: the conductivity of these windows is essentially identical because they are both double pane fiberglass options. That's going to be the vast majority of your energy efficiency impact. There is weather stripping on the Marvin window, just a bit less than the Pella.

Unless you're designing a Passive Haus, you're not going to be able to tell them difference, energy wise.

We do agree that fiberglass material is gonna do a superb job in energy efficiency, but that generous weatherstripping on Pella Impervia is gonna improve air infiltration ratings substantially

@@fakeusername92 We would disagree on that one. From our experience, extra insulation makes a home more quite, if the window is installed properly and shimmed

    1. Are there differences in wind speed tolerance?
    2. If you compare windows closer in size, is there still a difference in sash thickness?
    3. Which do you think will last longer (seems like the Pella would last much longer with it's over built features)?

Both windows are wind resistant and tolerant.
The sash thickness is the same on all sizes.
Both windows have robust construction. With extra big windows Pella might be the way, but Marvin boasts pretty reliable frame and sash construction as well

The Marvin Essential Fit and Finish is Unmatched. The Pella Impervia fiberglass looks like duck tape and is ruff. The Marvin Essential is Smooth and no imperfections.
