the only time ive ever stumbled onto kids youtube is when i watch old veggietales movies or play bluey for my dog, i had no idea that some of the channels were so disturbing
And like even if the creators don't mean for the animated characters to be seen by kids, then there's a button to block that video from minors so I really don't know why they don't do it :/
I personally think that kids youtube content tends to be fast paced and therefore is more entertaining for individuals with a short attention span. people in this demographic are usually kids, and them watching this content gets them hooked on it and fries their dopamine receptors to bits. I used to be a kid that watched this type of content from the ages of approximately 9 to 11, and when I tell you that this was harmful to me and i can see the results of that on myself now. a lot of media made for children nowadays is harmful to a child's development, but that does not mean that there aren't any good pieces of media. I have never watched Bluey, but I have heard nothing but praises for that TV show from both children and adults. It is educational, touches on a wide range of topics that are relevant, and it is slow paced (at least way more slow paced than any other kids media nowadays). I wish that if parents do decide to keep their children away from the internet for as long as possible (until the child is able to fully understand what the internet is), these children wouldn't get bullied for not being up to date with internet culture at school. For example, I would get bullied for not playing videogames or not knowing the latest memes. I just hope that as more parents understand what modern kids content entails, they could also have a bit more control over the kid's environment so that they do not end up feeling exluded from everyone else. sorry for writing so much haha, i just get really passionate about this topic as it is very important to me now that i am an adult and i can think about these topics with a better understanding.
@@laurenator7416 This is such a great point, thank you for commenting. The way kids can be bullied at school for not knowing about certain internet topics is very real and needs to be addressed
Criminally underrated video imo idk how much my opinion matters in your question since I'm 19, I do enjoy my occasional brainrot content, especially deepfried memes but I just can't wrap my head around Mr beast , his content just feels off to me
@@Idontwanttobehereanymore A little bit of brainrot is fine in my opinion and I don’t see anything wrong with people watching it in moderation. Mr Beast’s smile is so off to me though and I can’t watch it either 😅
