Super happy to see the Diamond legacy continued. Their comp jr has been my go to for the better part of a decade. The new controls on the Comp are a fantastic addition as well.
I've got a bookmark all the way back from 2009 with your demo of the Diamond Tremolo. Good to know it's back, now I actually have money to spend on things like that. Funny how all these things come around eventually.
Yes!! Diamond is back!! Ive been using a Diamond bass compressor for years. My favorite bass compressor and its built like a tank. Also great demo’s as always, Andy. I still watch your old school Pro Guitar Shop vids. 😎✌️
4 pedals: had to spend some quality time with each one! I don't plan on 30min demos for single pedals anytime soon but thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it!
These pedals sound fantastic. It helps me hearing them together as well as hearing them played individually. The price is about right. If I recall, these average at 200.00 each.
I agree with all the praise for Andy, the guy is one of a kind. These pedals aren’t cheap but I think they’re still worth the price. I could use a good comp and drive pedal so I have to try these for myself. Thanks for the perfect demonstration of the pedals.
The big box Memory Lane will always be my dream Pedal to acquire. The new drive and tremolo pedals sound so good. Can’t wait to get them. Also, cool to see the Malekko Ekko in the background ^_^
I really wish this would have been a big live colab today , JHS and pete thorn did this too. what a shame missed oporntunity! great demo tho Andy on point as always!!!
It really depends on your shoes and the distance between pedals. You definitely have to be precise when you aim. One cheat is to put a Barefoot button on the tap switch which makes it stand taller than the on/ off switch. Some people hate right switches and some love the space saving on a crowded board. YMMV
Good review. I just got this compressor today and spend the last 3 hours playing it head to head against another brand. I knew nothing about them. Bough t a cheap $50 compressor - also yellow, a while back. After a month all it really did was make static noise. The Good: It works. It's built like a tank and is high quality with a lot of features, like the EQ. It is dead quiet (a requirement for me.) This one gives a little more of that strat quack sound when tilt is fully engaged. The not so great. What genius decides to go with a yellow on yellow contrast indicator light. I mean really. So hard to see when the thing is compressing. Uhmm- it's yellow. Not the most attractive device on my board, but one of the priciest. Level is gain so just say Gain. The IN/OUT and Power is all on the rear panel. I prefer them on the side. Requires pancake jacks to fit on my board. Comp. does not seem quite as strong as the other high end unit I am also auditioning. That is sort of an OK thing I think. It does not cast as heavy a blanket over the tone. Out of the box the other one sounded better but after some fine tuning I think this is the one for me. I can get it to sound 95% as good as the other $200+ compressor AND the Diamond ALSO offers EQ. NO COMPRESSOR= fuller, but less tight sound. At low volume I can pick up more musical information with no compressor but once you start rockin or strumming, the compressor keeps things in check. I am still exploring these two but I think I will keep this Yellow on Yellow, more mellow Compressor/EQ. Also, just grabbed The Duellist OD pedal. If you play Blues and SRV, grab one. You will have close to his tone. The playing part is on you.
Andy, such a gem.
A precious jewel indeed. More than a birthstone, but intentionally imperfect. A diamond lasts forever, even if her finger won't. Nice job Andy!
@@michaelfowler3187 Thanks so much!
He can play/demo this stuff very well.
One of the GOAT pedal makers

Very happy Diamond are back!

Same here! I can still hear Andy’s intro…end of the world tone!
The drive sounds amazing. Cant wait to see their phaser or vibrato come back!
Yes yes yes, my favorite tremolo back on the market! I've been searching for one for ages after a friend let me borrow one ages ago.
It's honestly really special. Incredible Tremolo pedal.

Thank you for demo, I dig the longer format. Andy is the GOAT!

There he goes again just killing it with his playing and demos. Makes my day , every day.
Nice to see Diamond back at it. Bring back the Fireburst Fuzz!
I wonder if these Klang?!?
These pedals sound fantastic. It helps me hearing them together as well as hearing them played individually. The price is about right. If I recall, these average at 200.00 each.
their original comp is mandatory on my board. just gives this gloss to everything you play.
Love the longer video format

Thanks for the perfect demonstration of the pedals.
This trem is SolidGold ;) it’s got an SL-2 mode and the havoc switch from the Parabola… man I’m in

Fantastic demo, as always. Great to see these pedals re imagined. They all look versatile and high quality.
Always meant to get their comp. The compact version will be nice on my board.
My ideal delay tone is Gilmour on Pulse. Big, punchy, percussive and warm. I was definitely hearing that in modern mode. That’s what sold me on it.
Very good call out in those characteristics! Sounds like the best of analog and digital in one ❤️
Very cool ! I love to just listen to your playing.
I really appreciate it!
The original size compressor is on a lot on my small board and I don't normally even like compression, these are sooo good!
Going to pick up the comp but wish the vibrato was back!
They’ve confirmed on IG that it will be. This is just the beginning :)
@@zelkovabright7723 Thanks. Yeah, that was my feeling; not done :) You know how we are. We want it all yesterday.
Always a good day when I see a new AndyDemo pop up....
The tremolo sounds fantastic!
Me 10 minutes in: "man that comp eq is great."
Me less than halfway through memory lane segment: "Babe!! Is it my birthday yet? Why not??"
More great playing. You play so tastefully. I have never got on with plectrums either😁.
Thank you very much!
Their J Drive was quintessential 90s. This new one sounds good
There are no bad tones in the bunch.
I missed out on the O.G. Diamond stuff. I'm already trying to justify the new Comp and Memory Lane. Bring on the Vibrato next Diamond!
I’m gonna grab the memory lane and the trem.. their subdivision toggle is so stage friendly
Certainly all there 🤘
LOVE my Diamond comp, but may have to downsize to this new version!
It sound like you were playing In the Mood by Rush a bit. Good demo
Diamond and Dunable!
that insta-chop feature sounds almost the same as the Boss Slicer...
Great news! I hope Digitech do the same
I really wish this would have been a big live colab today , JHS and pete thorn did this too. what a shame missed oporntunity! great demo tho Andy on point as always!!!
We all got to do our own formats, no missed ops there! Thanks for watching!
Steve Malkmus from Pavement uses a Diamond J drive, I think that blue drive is based on that.
Yep, the new Drive has that in its DNA but also a little heat from their Fireburst pedal.
@@AndyDemos thank you, sir
This guy.......I'm telling you this guy.....TAKE MY MONEY!
Are the dual footswitches distanced enough to avoid hitting both at once accidentally?

Well, this is indeed good news.
I am looking for a good trem pedal to replace old school amp trem I am selling ( it is heavy and I am getting old 😮)..... this pedal is nice.....
Yes!!!!!!
Andy, weird question what kind of shirts do you wear? Brand? Maker?
Eh, whatever is on sale!
In this video Andy is wearing the new Dumble line of clothing, with a Fender watch.
@@John-e4p1x Mayer might :)
That guitar! I thought it said "Dumble" on the headstock at first. "Dunable". It sounds very Dunable-esque.
Dammit! Just bought the empress comp cause Diamond comps were getting outrageously expensive
Aww hells yes! Time to let the wallet take some hits for team pedal board.
Just curious Andy, do you buy your own guitars, like the Suhr, or do they give them to you?😊
I buy a lot of guitars myself, my dad also builds guitars and some like the Suhr are on loan!
@@AndyDemos Lucky dog! Still with Reverb?
So no Metal distortion in the line?
Good review.
