Little Kitten would show hos girlfriend Shadowsun about the Blood Games.
Depends on if they bought some calendars. If they did they would be too busy staring at Eldar mommies to notice the Tau.
That would be awesome as the tau have never seen a custodies.
Hey Majorkill,
Would you please makes some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, The Ecclesiarchy, and The High Lords of Terra? Thank you.

Imagine what must be going through a traitor marine's head when they suddenly find themselves inside the imperial palace, especially if they know what that means.
“Where am I? The imperial palace! I can kill the false emp… Oh. I see.”
Their reactions would range from excitement to panic, depending on the legion.
I can answer that: A bolter round.

I think loyal Astartes were also used to test defences. Apparently the White Scars were held in high esteem by the Custodes for their performance.
Wait they are? I thought they dislike all Astartes
@@aniketbiswas7660 spoiler
Near the end of The Flight of the Eisenstein or it may have been in Garro, A Custodes is tasked to work with Garro to over see the reception of refugees vessels entering the sol system. The Custodes is haughty and suspicious of everyone including Garro and shows nothing but contempt. But when he meets a group of World Eater and White Scar Astartes, he remarks positively on the White Scars performance during the Blood Games. It’s the only time he gives anybody credit during the assignment.
Edit: It is likely this feeling of admiration blinded the Custodes to the fact the White Scar leader was a traitor.
@@Eagle-eye-pie Yes but this was due to that one specific Custodian respecting WS, most others don't really like Astartes.
@@SirOrdo sure, he is without companions in this story and it is only his testimony, but given the overall, breathtaking arrogance of the guy, I found it a compelling concession on his part. Also my original comment was also to shed light on fact that loyalist Astartes were used in this way, which I think Majorkill overlooked. Edit: I’ve read in First Heretic, the way Custodes viewed the Word Bearers, they had a really low opinion of the entire legion, but ironically Aquillon respected Argel Tal. So yeah, those Custodes certainly can look down on Astartes, but occasionally find grudging respect?
@@SirOrdo Why Custodes dont like Astartes ?
Sad thing is, Alpharious killed a precious custodian just to disguise himself and prove a point, Emperor didn't even punish him or say any harsh words for it.
what if he didn't really die? #schemes
@@dmitrisochlioukov5003 he clearly stated in this video that Alpharious killed a custodian. Plus you won't be able to get a custode's armour unless you kill them
Good then. He died in the line of duty, technically.
Why would he care? All other humans are essentially tools to him, even the primarchs which he called his sons.
Nah, President Trump just had a replacement made.
"Brothers, will it be tyranids, orks, eldar, chaos astartes, or necrons?"

Yknow those bigass boards with all the switches levers and buttons on them? I like to headcannon that just randomly, a Custodian assigned to be the "bad guy" in the blood games jhst walks into a room full of those and just fucking opens everything, cackling madly while doing so
it would be a fantastic storyline where a Chaos astartes in stasis.. were sent to the palace thinking they're successful in infiltrating.. then they get hunted down 1by1 by a lone custodes.

Does this mean the Imperial Palace will get it's own video in the future? Seems like there's alot to talk about, including it's location in the Himalayas, the cells deep below that hold ancient tech and artifacts, as well as how well it held during the Horus Heresy.
the chambers under the palace seem really interesting. There is a whole branch of custodes dedicated to guarding the dungeons and they speak nothing of what they see once they rotate out.
Especially that Echoes of Eternity releases soon which will probably reveal some new extra spice.

Yes! Could make for an excellent, on the edge of yer seat, nail betting stuff. And with an extremely intelligent foe the plot or story could have way more possibilities than most might think.
Great idea.
Khorne would be a great sponsor in the Blood Games and invite his gym buddy Khaine to watch them with him.
He has his own blood games too where he shoves a space-time cutting sword in a Cerberus like daemon and all the blood princes and bloodthirsters hunt the creature to retrieve the sword whilst also battling each other to the death . Whoever reaches the creature first tries to rip the sword from its belly but risks getting ripped apart by it . It's a bit if a wonder that Orks haven't been much of a problem on Terra. With them constantly sweating spores, one would think they would be popping up all the time.
Even Ork spores have basic requirements to create more Orks... like actual dirt and at least _some_ water for the spores to grow in. Terra no longer has any of either; it is a massive amalgamation of Ferrocrete and Adamantium.
@@anthonylamonica8301 there is still both water and dirt left on Terra. Just isn't anywhere close to what there used to be. Another thing I've that about though is that since Terra has access to so many gigantic ships, why haven't they just brought in more water and tried to restore the planet?
@@michaelhowell2326 Terra _literally_ has none of its water left; it is directly stated that it needs to import all of its water from other worlds and systems. As far as dirt, that's been covered up by the planet-sized city that Holy Terra has become. None of it is exposed anymore. Everything is covered in miles-thick layers of Ferrocrete and Adamantine buildings.
As such, there's nowhere left to put any new dirt to restore the planet. 100+ trillion people take up a _lot_ of space.

My personal headcanon is that the Harlequins were killing the elite human guards. The author must have been confused, because custodies > harlequins all day every day.

The wiki says… hold on, let me che-
2000 Custodians?
Do keep in mind that Khorne dumped 8 of his most powerful bloodthirsters. Ka'bhanda, the most powerful bloodthirster, killed hundreds of Blood Angels with one hit. So if these 8 are anywhere comparable to that, well you do the math. Custodians can kill dozens of marines solo, but killing hundreds with a single strike? That's a tier beyond. A daemon that powerful can probably solo kill dozens of Custodes before going down.
Plus, there's also the unending horde of lesser daemons to deal with.

The Amon blood games story was one of my favorite short stories during the HH series. It was so badass that he made it to the Emperor.
I like to imagine, in an alternate 40k universe where alternate timelines are accessable, the custodes decide to bring over stuff from said timelines to make the Blood Games even more spicy. One brings in Roboutian Heresy Blood Angels while another brings in a group of Malal daemons
TTS Throne Emperor: "Have you banana boys even fought anything worthwhile for the past 10,000 Years?"
TTS Karstodes: "... I killed a fly the other day."
All hail the Man-Emperor of Mankind!
They are afraid of Harlequins.
Normally I would consider deliberately bringing, keeping and releasing enemies within the Palace to be a really freaking bad idea. But what makes the Custodes different from others is that they not only plan for if things go to hell, but are in fact trained to obsessively look for ways they can. Whole point of the games, really.
They should put Ghazgull and his Waaagghh in the Imperial Palace
given that only 3 custodes died when they fought along big e against a waagh pre heresy, the waagh would definitely fail.
Fun related fact: the concept of the blood games actually exists, in real life. The first 'real world equivalent' was the US Navy's Red Cell. The role of Red Cell? They were tasked with finding ways to break into the most secured US government facilities while expending the least amount of effort. Now, there's a thriving security industry, based around physical penetration testing (corporate way of saying 'breaking in to places'). Interesting little history lesson for yall.
Wasn't there a gene stealer cult on tera? Wouldn't it be funny if it started cause the castodies used some gene stealers for a blood game but some got out and started the cult.

@@marsultorem3207 that's true but maybe they were so focused on stopping them from getting in that they didnt notice some getting out

If only someone opened a warp portal inside the imperial palace.. I would be really impressed if the Custodies prepared for that too.
I think the custodes would handle that poorly. Which is why the sisters of silence are around :^)

As a comparatively much, much newer fan to 40k, by the Emperor am I glad see that the Custodians actually going out and actually helping the rest of the galaxy. When I was first getting into the hobby, it was absolutely unbearable to hear that the literal cream of the Imperial crop, warriors who far outpaced Space Marines and basically everything else in the galaxy, were just sitting in the Palace gathering dust.

The thing I find disturbing in the blood games is, for the custodes to release the Imperium's ennemies in the palace, they have to have them available and alive ... Meaning there are armies of mankind that have literally had to capture all kinds of ennemies, even the most dangerous, to then ship them to Terra ...
Anyone remember the Bloodbowl mini game set? I played that before even realizing what 40k was

"immune to infiltration", you know Alpharius basically all but created the rules...
Still do you think Conrad Curze or Even Corax have a Chance? This two are the Sneakiest of the Primarchs
@@Robouteguilliman-t7o Maybe but canonically the AL already infiltrated the palace and the Custodes never figured out how. So "immune to infiltration" is a bit disingenuous.
Can Corvus Corax infiltrate the imperial Palace by using his Primarch ability?
Good question. I would love to see a break down between Corvus and Alpharius (not Omegon). Alpharius was trained by Malcador and spent decades (perhaps as much as century) being trained on Earth. Omegon had this same power but it was never trained as well as Alpharius', this is why Dorn could sense Omegon and kill him. I do not believe he could have sensed Alpharius and I am not even sure he could have beaten Alpharius either. I am not real versed on all things Corvus, but would love to see a breakdown between the two.
Not sure he can fool a costode to ignore a sensor reading like he can with humans and ?astartes?.
my theory is since he is loyal and emperor knows it, he'd let him infiltrate but if he had been chaos, emperor would sense him and psychicly inform his nearest and best custodes, and i dont think there's a primarch who can go through 100+ custodes and valdor while they are juiced up by the big E Charisma,
I think only valdor or some other name custodian could sense him, which means only 2-3 people or maybe more
@@AbhisarRawat Didn’t Alpharius already did that with normal stealth tactics? Corax's wraith slipping erases his existence from the memory of the target.
@@AbhisarRawat Alpharius's power is actually EXTREMELY specialised for infiltration because it can make it look like his presence is simply erased from the warp, Big could look at Alpharius all he wants with his omnipotenge and as long as Alpharius keeps his concentration at its very best then all Big E would sense is a normal a** person in his son. If Corvax can make people forget his presence, Alpharius can make his presence vanish
His 2nd power is also broken because by manipulating his presence with the warp he influences their perception of him, meaning he can litteraly look like an innocent man and no one will suspect him.
Which is probably why Alpharius would be the only one able to sneak in the actual Palace while Corvus the one able to remain in.the palace unseen

I was under the impression the blood games began some time after the culling of the thunder warriors since at the end of the novel Valdor Malcador explains to errr... Valdor that "They" are fond of games("They"meaning the chaos gods but very few outside of the Emperor and possibly Malcador seem to have even the vaguest idea what Chaos actually is at this point) and that the Custodes should learn to think as the enemy does.
I get the feeling that two authors stumbled around on top of eachother trying to explain it. I agree, at the end of Valdor: Birth of the Imperium it sure seems that Valdor instructs Custodes Samonas with setting up the trials that the reader can infer will become the Blood Games. But in Alpharius: Head of the Hydra (which was released after Birth of the Imperium) it is clearly stated that Alpharius motivated the Blood Games. There is alot of conflicting lore in 40k, the Blood Games is just a tiny portion of what irritates me.
It’s like a strange mirror to the Drukhari letting invaders in (usually to off a rival kabal or eight)
Just do what that prisoner did (cannot recall name) where he just picked up a broom and started sweeping his way out quite literally until he was outside the prison. He even kept sweeping a couple hundred yards to make sure no one noticed.
Hilarious really.
Could imagine a Benny Hill sketch.
“Morning.”
“Morning.”
“Gosh those inmates sure are messy, I’ll be sweeping up all day!”
“Yep those bastards do like to make a mess every now and again. Best leave you to it.”
Could the King in Yellow be the most elaborate Blood Games ever?
I would say no? If we believe the King in Yellow is Valdor than my belief is that it is an elaborate plan put in place long ago by the Emperor. There is zero reason to believe Valdor is traitor so he is up to something. Also, Valdor and Russ are connected. If I had to guess, that moment that when Russ got the message from the Emperor and took off was connected to Valdor taking off to do his mission. But yeah, I do see where it could be that Valdor is spending 10k years to overthrow the Throne.
@@kccustodes2618 Custodes are incapable of betrayal towards the Emperor. Same as Grey Knights. They are OF Him. His blood.
Also I agree that Valdor is looking for a way to beat chaos. It might not be a nice way. But since when did the Custodes care about ethics when it came to defending BIG E
Pretty sure when the galaxy split and a lot of custodians departed, they turned up the blood games of the custodes infiltration, as they needed to be ready even more now.
I wonder if any Custodes were on a Blood Game during the 2nd siege of terra. I could imagine one building a ramshackle set of armor and killing demons while looking like a spinning garbage can. Channeling his inner Oscar the grouch.

Reminds me of the real life Red Cell. Red Cell was formed by Navy SEAL and Vietnam veteran Richard Marchinko who also founded SEAL Team 6. Red Cell was made up of mostly former ST6 members and was tasked with findinf weaknesses in the Navy's base defenses. They would infiltrate the base, kidnap guards and high ranking brass, gain secret information and plant fake bombs. Unfortunatly the only changes were some embarrsed Navy Officers and Marchinko getting a few months in jail.
The blood games: when the lictor is the one who gets stalked
I always enjoyed that part in the "Blood Games" where he intentionally overdosed on what I think was heroin.
Even some interiors of the imperial Palace have their own weather systems, they have plenty of space to fuck around in 😆
Nice video mate really keen on custodies. You gonna do another TW:WH3 stream?
Custodes armor is always a marvel to see. Dunks on chaos/traitors gear and adornments. Also, Fabius Bile and his bunch have survived several Harlequin ambushes. So Harlequins massacring Custodes is just plain wrong especially considering in the First Heretic, Ven, a custodian, single handedly takes out 3 marines.
What if the emperor didn't go on his great crusade to unite mankind. Would humanity survive or would they fall to xenos and chaos?
I think humanity would have survived, but not as an empire. But I am fairly sure at least some enclaves of humanity would have made it to now. I think Majorkill did a video about just this topic.
Chaos would win. Big E had to strike fast and unite humanity after the warpstorms blocking travel were cleared before chaos cults gained supremacy.
Theyd probably survive, but not to a dominating extent.
To all those who come after dont be retarted enough to fall for the scam above this comment
They would be inslaved. Just like how the imperium treats the other lessor XENOS races.
Never going to let the author of that Harlequin bit live it down, confusing Lucifer Blacks with Custodians.
im pretty sure those custodians the harlequins fought were only lucifer blacks wich is just an elite guard regiment that guards the very outside of the palace
Apparently all a custodes needed to do was have a faulty light switch installed and open the dark cells
Now the question we all need to answer: What happens if Ciaphas Cain is accidentally selected to try 'assassinating' the Emperor in a Blood Game?
Some of the custodes or high lords for sure take bets on who's gonna win right? It'd be funny as shit seeing a high lord going "Five bucks says the naked one gets to the door to the golden throne first" and another going "Pfft, in your dreams"
