As an old codger, I no longer have the legs nor lungs for cycling. In December, I bought an Engwe L20 cargo ebike, and it's been a game changer. The recent dumpings of snow here in Scotland have been no problem with its 4x20 fat tyres. I'm so glad I bought one.
Hi Blackie, greeting from Australia 🇦🇺 , thank you for your time to make these videos. All you need now is a small bike trailer to go with it, to carry gear. You said nothing about the weight that it can carry, they are a great machine for mobility, I use the scooter with a seat on.
I am 60, with no medical issues. It was time to replace my bike. I ALMOST chose electric but, decided to stay with pedals only as long ad possible. I got a Surly Bridge Club with racks, Wald basket in front, and o.d. canvas mussette bags for panniers.. Set up for camping trips. Maybe I'll go electric at 70?? I love riding; it takes me back to childhood freedom. Thanks for the fun video Blackie.
I thought the same, but, went electric fat tire at 65. I'm glad I did! I might have made it longer but at 8000 to 10000 feet elevation it was necessary. Turned trails from a chore to fun again!
I wasn’t able to ride for 15 years (3 heart attacks). Then last year I found a e-bike at Costco. 3 hundred dollars. No bells no whistles. Just bare bones. My cardiologist was dumbfounded when I rode it to the visit. My LVEF Went up(good). I was literally at death’s door. I’m still very weak (stamina). But huge improvement. My biggest problem is getting My Grankids off it ! I put in 60$ in gas lasted 6 months! Win- Win. Also power went out. It lit up My apartment until the power came back.
I’ve been building one of these with a battery bank trailer. Eye opening experience. There’s a ton of extra juice you can squeeze from these things if you know how.
Hey blacky yeah I'm a silver wolf just just a tad bit younger and I got mobility issues heart issues and all that I still I like to get out around but I'm having trouble doing it I got my tax check coming up so I'm going to look into maybe getting electric bike because my poor little pickup truck is got a lot of miles on it it looks like it would be a lot of fun
Blackie, I don't have an electric bike, but I think what I did will work wonders on an electric bike.. I took a bicycle child carrier and remover the fabric to leave just the frame, then I made an alice frame from pvc pipe to fit onto the child carrier frame, then under the alice pack on the carrier there is room and I make a shelf for more gear.. I can carrier a ton of gear on that carrier with my mountain bike, I can only imagine that an electric bike would be amazing for this...
James on way point survival done a vid a year or two ago where he was doing a mock bug out on his e bike I can’t remember how far he got but it was a good ways . I’m saving up to get one myself with having bilateral hip replacements I think this will be a great way to get around and build my legs back up
I went camping last nigjt expecting rain. Wanted to test gear in rain. What I did not expect was very high winds. I could not figure out how to set up everything to keep me dry. Cannyou do a high wind setup Bob Nixon, Pack 1
GOD bless you Blackie. I'm not quite there yet and this is a nice option but for now I will stick with my analog Cannondale and this reminds me that I need to get on it and burn some fat!
Blackie, what is the plan for security of the little phone type display and or the bike overall security when parked for any length of time where there are people walking around? Looks like a good investment. I am up for double knee replacement surgery and need to exercise safely. This looks like a good method.
I was skeptical about the practicality of these but as an effort-assisting device to get me around like I no longer otherwise can, I think they’re worth looking into. If a guy could set one up to carry a small pack and spare battery, and keep it on backroads and good trails, it would be a fun thing to have for day outings. I’m 6’3” and 250 pounds so I’d want one built to handle some weight, probably with better suspension and hopefully USA made if possible (it’ll be more expensive, I know).
Hey Blackie great find here im 64 n still can pedal but been looking at these E bikes. Is this 24 or 26 as a shorty im looking at 24inch fat tires ones like yours.. Thanks for sharing this one.
Blackie be careful about how you store it when you're done riding... there's been countless incidents of the battery on these electric bikes causing fires. Informative video !
Thanks Blackie, As a heart by passer my self, I’ve been interested in electric bikes. This is very helpful Blackie so Thanks Again with Many Blessings! And I did much the same things on my bike with my buddies as a kid. Fishin trips, swimming hokes and going to dumps and places we could shoot our BB guns. Imagine a kid on a bike with a BB gun going down the street today? They’d probably sentence him to 10 years! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
That would be slow unless you got a bunch of lightweight roll-up panels, and it requires good sun. But if somewhere close enough there is electric power, it would be great because charging would only take an hour or two. You can get faster or slower chargers, but faster is more dangerous and is harder on the battery. 2Amp charger is usual.
I'd like to know what someone thinks about an ebike a year or two and a few hundred miles later. Many people are "quick" to get a review out on them bc they don't want to disappoint the company; whether its a good or bad review. I'd like to know later down the line are they worth it. What is the longevity of one like this that it about $600 vs one that is 2 or 3 or even 4 times that price. Its like people buying these electric cars. They look good at firsr but realize the hard way they don't charge well in the cold and the battery needs replacing after a few years at 10s of thousands of dollars. Had they known that, would theh have bought the EV (or in this case, the ebike)?

Ok show of hands ! Who all wanted to see him pop a wheelie ! 🤣 Thanks Brother !
Excellent review! E-bikes are definitely a game changer!
I use a recumbent trike. Doesn't let me keep rolling, but I can stop and rest sitting down.
Nice review.
I've been considering one of those E-Bikes. Thanks for the review, Blackie.

Great Review! We just got a couple of Hiboy ebikes they are going to be great for hunting, fishing, camping and exploring

After both knees were replace i got rid of my bike now at 68 yrs old this looks great
I have a rad rover , for the same reasons. Front and back racks. Good luck with your bike.
That's awesome, Blackie. Would be nice to have one, especially for bike camping and long trails. 👍
Cruiser handlebars will fix your fitment issues. Very comfortable and look cool as well.
Thanks for the review. My kids have been trying to get me to get an e-bike for awhile. This looks good.
Thank you for the review Blackie. I have been looking at e bikes for some time and this is the first one reasonably priced.
I’ve been building one of these with a battery bank trailer. Eye opening experience. There’s a ton of extra juice you can squeeze from these things if you know how.
I've been researching ebikes for a few months now. I'm thinking of picking one up for my birthday this spring. Thanks

Thanks for the review, I see these quite often in Statesboro and have often wondered if I should invest in one. Happy trails my friend.
I love it!!!

Keep an eye on that battery. 😇 I have considered getting a gasoline assisted adult trike.
Thank you. An excellent review.🍺😎🦘🦘🦘

Great video sir. Will this bike work on a standard hitch mounted bike carrier?

goedemiddag Blackie nou weet je waarom wij meer fietsen hebben als inwoners 👍🚴
Great review and option Blackie , thanks for sharing YAH bless !
Blackie, Outstanding Video Sir.
Heck Yeah!
Cool Bike!
Sweet!!
As far as a cargo carrier goes, an e-trike would be a good option. The dedicated cargo e-bike is also a great option, it’s a bit heavier and longer.
Blackie be careful about how you store it when you're done riding... there's been countless incidents of the battery on these electric bikes causing fires. Informative video !
Now you will have to think about a little trailer. 😛

Great video
Can a portable solar panel charge it up while you are at your camping destination?
That would be slow unless you got a bunch of lightweight roll-up panels, and it requires good sun. But if somewhere close enough there is electric power, it would be great because charging would only take an hour or two.

Blackie, that handlebar and stem look like they’re installed backwards
He stated in the video he assembled it that way bc of his short arms.
I missed that part. Thanks! 😃
No way you can use normally it as a mountain bike without battery power. That would be hard work on a flat city street with no wind.
Spendy, yes, but much less than others I have been looking at.
Have you ever seen a big foot
