1922 Knickerbocker Theater Collapse

100 years ago the roof of the Knickerbocker Theater Collapsed. The Fox Movietone film crew documented the tragedy on January 28, 1922.
Description:
An elevated view of the interior of the Knickerbocker Theater shows soldiers and Marines searching the rubble for survivors. Outside the theater a Red Cross worker provides coffee and sandwiches to rescue workers. An elevated exterior sequence shows the theater and crowds gathered about. Bodies are taken to a local Christian Science Church, which serves as a temporary morgue.
