@@MomentsDivine Here's a theory: Bands or musical artists like this don't get radio play; so they don't receive alot of exposure to the general public. 🤔🤔 Alot of North American radio stations are saturated in rap, "modern country", Adele, Rihanna, etc; leaving alot more talented musicians in the dust. 😕😕

+westernspirit Christian Rock is a sort of sub-genre that is highly religious towards the Christian religion. A lot of the lyrics usually mention Jesus or the Christian God. Although, I wouldn't personally consider this Christian, I would still consider it the base Southern Rock. Christian Metal is also a thing, by the way. Demon Hunter, Impending Doom (sounds like it'd be more gothic, but they're actually a christian band), Stryper and Decyfer Down are all very good bands that play Christian Metal. Check them out when you got the time
@@brucebrookshire Bruce, I've just recently watched some great footage of the Doc Holliday farewell tour in 2011. Really liked your playing and the sound you get from that Telecaster. Could you give me some info on the guitar itself and tell me what gear you used to get that sound, please. Apart from the guitar and your fingers, obviously :-) Thank you!
@@dotanoob2k Thanks for the question. We brought no equipment along on that tour, not a bass or any guitars. I have always been lucky enough to get my sound no matter what we have to use. For Germany and the UK, I had a American stock Tele. For Denmark, Sweden, and France, I switched to our German guitar tech's personal guitar, the one with the burst look, but the top half was sanded for the arm cut and never refinished. I stayed with it when the tour ended up back in Germany. I did bring a Pod, and used one side of the stereo onstage for a bit of distortion, and ran the other side to the FOH engineer. He mixed that in with two mics in stereo for three tracks, as I was the only guitar. My onstage rig is always stereo, cabinets on either side of the drums. Mostly Marshall distortion, with a bit of Pod. Blessings, Bruce
@@brucebrookshire Thank you so much for the info, Bruce. The distorted sound you got on tracks like Last Ride and the smooth clean sound on slower songs like Lonesome Guitar is really quite stunning. Huge, on point sound from just one guitar, and superb playing. I've been listening to your records for about a decade now, but I had never dug deep on UA-cam to find the existing pearls of video footage from live shows until this weekend. If I remember correctly, the one that absolutely floored me was a video clip from a show in Habach, Germany. Having said that, it's really quite difficult to locate new copies of A Better Road and 25: Absolutely Live over here in Germany. I haven't even been able to find a source to buy them as a download in the past few years. I don't know what the publishing situation is, but the few people who still seem to have a couple of copies sell them at ludicrous prices that I can't afford at this point in time. Hopefully, they'll eventually be re-issued like the first two albums. Again, thank you for your detailed answer, and best wishes from Germany, Fabian.
Bad Company has a tune called "Holy Water" in the album by the same name whose chorus is too similar to this song's. They could have been a little less obvious.
Why am I just now discovering this amazing song!?!? 😲😲
I’m asking myself the same question.

These guys kick ass !!!! Are the still playing ? wish they would come to the lake of the Ozarks to play for our boys weekend !!!!!
You always knew I was a dreamer
You knew it right from the start
I tried to hide away my feelings
But you saw through to my heart
I was runnin,I was hiddin
I didnt know what I was running from
Seems like all days are over
Looks like there is nothing else to do
Feels like i've been forgiven
I'm a brand knew man [with my faith in you]x2
You let me make my own decisions
Even though they were wrong
You just kept quietly calling
You knew eventually I'd come around
I was runnin,I was hiddin
I didnt know what I was running from
Seems like all days are over
Looks like there is nothing else to do
Feels like i've been forgiven
I'm a brand knew man [with my faith in you]x2
Trully I don't know how to thank you
For writing words to this song
How to share the piece that I've been given
And help you love this one alone
I'm not running,I'm not hiddin
There is no reason to run anymore
Seems like all days are over
Looks like there is nothing else to do
Feels like i've been forgiven
I'm a brand knew man [with my faith in you]x2

Now that is Christian rock I can get into. Not that headbangin' or pablum. Straight up on point!

Yani.
I am assuming the similarities to Bad Company's "Holy Water" were accidental?
Yes, totally by accident, honest...I had never heard the song to my knowledge and was shocked when I did. And embarrassed!
