Literally every single bar is a direct reply to a bar MGK used in his "rap devil" diss, you should listen to it and then re-watch this, Em addressed every single bar MGK spat in his diss
@Christian Eydner …...The order would be STAN (Eminem) - mgk says something foul about hailey - Eminem bans him from shade 45 - No reason (mgk) - Not Alike (Eminem) - Rap devil (mgk) - Killshot (Em)
Em is actually on record saying that he didnt know about the tweet to his daughter till a year later. The beef actually started wgen MGK disses Eminem on a Tech N9ne track.
Oh I see. Man I can’t imagine why anyone would diss Em. That seems like a path you wouldn’t want to go on lol. It’s like if I challenged Steve Vai to a guitar solo contest. Now I’m a decent guitarist but Steve is one of the best of all time. I would get trashed. Thanks for the clarification. Is that Tech N9ne track one I should react to?
@@MetalGuyReacts Tech N9ne is actually my favorite rapper, but that song i actually havent listened to before. I just know about the diss because Eminem talked about it in his interview with sway in the morning. But i would say sure if you wanna give it a listen. Tech N9nes' songs have a lot of rock/ metal influences
Love your reactions and how you show appreciation for the craft. Here are some recommendations about different types of Eminem songs to react to: Very emotional: "Mockingbird" Modern and super fast: "Godzilla" Classic storytelling masterpiece: "Stan" Recent meaningful art piece: "Darkness" Vulnerable but beautiful: "Walk On Water" There are many more but trust me that all of these are worth your time, just choose some. Love and respect. 🎤❤
Hiphop beef and disses are often misunderstood rap is like a sport sometimes disses are nothing personal it is just who got better bars and you want to answer another rapper and make him unable to respond. It is like 1 on 1 n basketball if you lose you just shake hands and try again later .
Fantastic reaction! Just found your channel the other day and I appreciate your appreciation of music lol I would suggest that hearing the Rap Devil diss by MGK may lend some insight into this song as Em was directly responding to/referencing so much from that song. Also, Em first comes at MGK in his track with Royce Da 5'9 (another great artist) called "Not Alike" which is a fantastic song. Completely unrelated but I also highly recommend checking into Falling in Reverse "Popular Monster" and "The Drug in Me Reimagined".I apologize if you have already listened to those tracks, but thought I would throw the suggestion out there.
Not only should you have listened to the beef chronologically, but the amazing thing about this particular track is how deep the lyrics actually get - Eminem refers to a lot of very specific things from MGK's previous diss to this, and even steps outside of the back-and-forth to reference a video of MGK popping champaign when he heard his name being mentioned in an Eminem song. He references killing MGK's career by saying "One call to Interscope and you're Swayze," and this may be coincidence, but the track was released on the anniversary of Patrick Swayze's death. This could also be taken as turning MGK's career into a ghost, which Patrick Swayze also starred in. He also has deep references that the average listener wouldn't likely get, as in a reference to his previous beefs (Beeves? Beefises?) with Ja Rule, Benzino, and references the band "The Lox," whose most famous member is Jadakiss. In addition, his line "Lethal Injection, Go To Sleep, Six Feet Deep," and "Nail in the Coffin" are all likely references to *other* diss tracks, and... man, it just keeps going. Eminem is a monster and a maniac, and we could spend literal months analyzing and tearing something like this down, but the bottom line is MGK is no longer doing rap, so it seems like Eminem rapped him out of the genre.
Honestly, I found that he goes somewhat lightly on MGK in this one. Like, I think it is very well written however Eminem only really replies to MGKs words, you should check out some of his older diss tracks. Some personal favourites are Quitter and Canibitch.
New to the channel. 🤘🏽thumbs up to the Testament shirt 👍🏽. Please react to G-Mo Skee, anything from him. „Ingant“, „Final Boss II“, „Bay area dropout“ literally anything from him.
2:06 Fun Fact: Interscope records is the label Eminem was signed to before creating his own meaning he still has pull there because he made them millions. It just sounds like he's saying in the scope twice if one is unaware of Interscope.
Killshot also dropped on the anniversary of Patrick Swayze's death "1 call to interscope and you Swayze" as well as being a reference to Shwayze who was formerly signed to interscope and then dropped off the radar after a single hit track
As a metal head reacting to rap, you need to check out Wither by Tech N9ne featuring Corey Taylor. It's an amazing song and the two of them flow so well together.
You need to watch MGK's "rap devil" and rewatch this immediately after and put it all in one video. It WILL change your reaction to Em's "Killshot". And I'm looking forward to seeing it.
ok just found you and subscribed. You should really check out "The hu" if you haven't heard of hem already "wolf totem would be the best place to start.
Love your reactions. You should check out for you by BTS. There is a dance video version which let's you see more of the dancing or the official music video which shows the story behind the song. Keep up the good work!
Yea, not sure if you watched the Mgk diss to Em called rap devil.. nothing special but Basically Em is answering almost each thing Mgk said about him.. Em is just picking apart everything Mgk said about him.. You want to a great/funny reaction.. do a reaction to “The warning”, it’s a diss to Mariah Carey. Basically, to get you up to speed, Em and Mariah had a fling, and this was way back when Mariah was still kinda a big deal. But in interviews, the would ask her about Em and she would say “there is nothing with us, we are just friends”, well, that pissed Em off because she was denying they had something, so then Mariah made that track “obsessed” and that was towards Em.. Now you are caught up, kinda.. now go listen to The Warning, and you will crack up.. Keep up the great reactions
Credit where it's due, he addressed every single Rap Devil bar in his reply, listening to Killshot without hearing Rap Devil takes away from how genius the tune actually is. And yeah a "The warning" reaction would be dope, unlike Killshot you don't really need any context as it's all explained in the diss
Metal Guy Reacts because of the face you pulled when he said that line about Diddy but you was reacted to that line way to early like you knew what he was going to say
fredkeld 13 Funny dude. I’d have to say you are reading WAY to far into my face lol. Maybe I was thinking about the line he said before that? I couldn’t even tell ya. I can guarantee I had never heard this. I make sure to say it when I’ve actually heard one 👍🏼
Literally every single bar is a direct reply to a bar MGK used in his "rap devil" diss, you should listen to it and then re-watch this, Em addressed every single bar MGK spat in his diss
Should’ve done MGKs diss first so you’ll fully get the punchlines. 😬
Thanks Aryzona. Dang I’m bummed I messed up the order. Man this beef runs deep. I would never go up against Em though lol. Can’t believe MGK tried.
@@MetalGuyReacts I guess the order would be Stan-Rapdevil-Killshot :d
@@christianeydner7726 you forgot "Not Alike"
@Christian Eydner …...The order would be STAN (Eminem) - mgk says something foul about hailey - Eminem bans him from shade 45 - No reason (mgk) - Not Alike (Eminem) - Rap devil (mgk) - Killshot (Em)
🤣🤣🤣 you mean weak ass punchlines

Another recommendation for an eminem song and one of my personal favorites would be "Stan".
Stan I have seen. It's one of my favorites from him. So gritty and real. Love it!

You always hold a few lines back. Ironically that's one of the things Em points out in "Rap God".
That "80 year old me" line gets me every time

You needed to listen to Not Alike before this song. It’s the first diss Em did for MGK and it’s HARD!
You should do MGK’s response next!
MGK didn't respond though? He dropped a subliminal bar or 2 in tracks after this but there's no reply to this track
Ducactus Ahh you’re right, you’re right! This is Eminem’s response to MGKs track Rap Devil 🤦♀️
Rap devil is MGK's diss track towards Eminem.
Aaaand after that MGK had to change genres 😂 Never mess with Em tho
