I love your home. I'm so jealous. I wish I could retire in japan like you and bring all my furbabies and my son. Love your videos

This is such a beautiful home design and I love all the natural little decorations. I use my griller a lot for melting cheese on toast with ham and tomatos.

The kerosene heaters heat a room up quick I've got a couple of them, and they work a treat. Gas dryer in winter i would throw my clothes in them while having a shower and put them straight on!

That’s a beautiful house, man. Aesthetically, it has a lot in common with our place. (Woody, exposed beams, open floor plan and big windows.) But I love how you let the character of the original place shine through, and the traditional Japanese elements too. I was imagining something more like that for my own place, but ironically, my wife (who is Japanese) vetoed anything ‘too Japanese’ looking. 😆

Hey thanks for still watching! You have a beautiful and much, much newer house! Yeah many Japanese don’t want old style houses which is unfortunate. We tried to incorporate the best of both worlds. I really love it and no regrets!

Is 200 may be 240V possible in Japan. Some kitchen appliances here in europe take a lot.
It turned out beutiful sad to see the reduction of the engawa but the space inside is more impotant. I am just love the engawa but then the house needs to be bigger to be able to enjoy them 😊

Thanks, I know what you mean. I really love engawas and wish I could have a nice long one, but unfortunately not :-(
