I do agree with both Anton and Denden as to how hard it is to create a fantasy team for a team like DLSU. Since I was 12 way back in 2012, I have witnessed how this team cemented their dominance in the league. With me entering college now, what I have realized is that one thing is common for all these remarkable Lady Spikers and that is LEADERSHIP, making their brand unique amongst others.

Wow, you were 12 when you started watching? That was about the time Volleyball started to take off in terms of the popularity. Why’d you get into it?
Also, I liked how you included Jolina Dela Cruz in your Dream Team. Kahit bata pa, sinama mo sa lineup.

5th Grade, it was Season 75 when I first poured my heart and dedication to support the Lady Spikers in their quest towards a three-peat. It was always a struggle for me to find a sport that I could keep myself busy with and at the same time escalate my adrenaline to entertain me every uwian. Until one afternoon, Game One of the Finals was on TV and my Tita was going gaga over cheering for Mika Reyes. At first, I thought it was just a normal ball game, but the moment I saw Aby Maraño and Michele Gumabao go BEAST MODE DON'T CARE , that's when I knew that there was something special about Volleyball that I have been mysteriously longing for.
A solid Abigail Palmares Maraño fanatic who realized that being your most authentic and natural self in competing while still having a game-face on attitude is the biggest key towards achieving great things in life probably wraps up my origin story as a Volleyball fan. Through championships and heartbreaks, it has been a pleasure to idolize people who have taught me how to persevere in life and work for the heights I want to conquer. Little did I know that that one afternoon watching Game One of the Finals, is going to change my life forever. College is right around the corner and I'm still carrying the values and principles my idols and the sport taught me. Oops! Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Volleyball player but I do engage in competitive Debating/Public Speaking, just for the reference char!
With regards to Jolina being part of my line-up, I would say that Eya Laure playing in the Seagames pushed me to conclude that YOUTH plays a vital role in one team.
My origin story is quite long po and overly-dramatic but I hope you'd still read this Mr. Anton! Thank you also for making games much more exciting with your logical insights and exciting remarks! More power to Volleyball DNA and hoping to see more episodes! 💚🏹

The choice of Des Cheng is understandable kasi yung galawan ni Des eh ganun na ganun yung galawan din nila Cha nung panahon niya. DLSU Outside Hitter prototype talaga. Siguro kung yung S80 and S81 Des Cheng eh nagcompete nung S74-S75 eh considered as dominant and powerful na siya nun, but now mas pansin kasi ng tao ang mas flashy at mas barogera na outside hitters.
Ang Gelo true!!! No need to be flashy naman. Players like Des Cheng are the “super glue” ng isang team. Yung mga ganang klaseng players eh kahit magstruggle yan offensively eh di yan ilalabas dahil magaling sa floor defense, magaling magserve, may leadership and fighting spirit and higit sa lahat composure. Sad lang na during S81 eh halatang rattled na yung teammates nya like Cobb, SAGA, CLEMENTE, OGUNSANYA & LUNA during the whole season and even Jolina nung 5th set against UST nung F4. Sila lang ni Tin ang composed.
For a casual volleyball viewer, Des Cheng might not be on their list of current OH. Mostly ngayon fans are going gaga over flashy plays. Kasi masaya panoorin at kaka-excite. Pero hindi nila na realize yung pagiging outside hitter na hindi lang flash plays pero placement and great/solid passing. Thus, Des is silently up there kasi ganun style of play nya (more on placement and very solid fd, i-add mo pa yung pagiging clutch player nya). Pre-ACL injury, barogera din si Des kaya in and out sya sa first 6 sa rookie days niya kasi alam ni Coach Ramil na she is an explosive player. Cheng haters can eat shit. hahaha
Solid ng choices nya. Galang / Cheng (steady offensive and defensive outside players), Baron/Reyes (Tall MBs and solid FD and great servers!!) Saet/Fajardo (amazing playmakers), Dawn (need i say more?), Dy or Gumabao (porsyento. Taas percentage plus sobrang solid mang blocks) 😍
For me cruz ako over cheng hehehe!! Peak cha cruz was unstoppable!!

Des Cheng is an all-around player offense at defense maaasahan tsaka ang galing sa serving, ang nagkulang lang sa DLSU nong season 81 is wala silang matapang at malakas na middle, si Aduke lang & maybe injuries kc di masyadong naglaro si Tin Tiamzon kaya nahirapan nakapasok sa final 4

I started watching and supporting the Lady Spikers I think during season 70 ba yun..after suspension nila.. I've been watching sa games nila,naalala ko pa din na nag join sila sa Shakey's V-League ata..tapos noong ng unigames sa Bacolod, talagang umiiskapo ako para lang makanood.. Engineering pa kinukuha ko nun..bahala na basta laro nila, andun kami ng mga classmates ko..eh yung school ko katabing city lang ng Bacolod eh..hahaha..talagang after ng game,dagsaan kami para makapagpa picture sa kanila..
Let me just say this, Prior sa game nila hindi talaga sila nagpapapicture.. During ng warms-ups nila Aby,Mika, Idol Ara and the rest din, bawal istorbohin.. Naalala ko pa na galing ako men's restroom, si Michelle Gumabao papasok naman sa kabila, magpapicture sana ako pero di daw pwede,after ng game lg daw..at naka smile sya habang sinasabi yun.. And ako natulala na lang,dahil ang ganda nya at walang pores.. Sobrang kinis ng mukha..hahahahahaha.. Panalo sila nung, straight sets..at sila ng champion sa Unigames that year..
At eto pa,katabi namin manood Teng Brothers, tapos si Kiefee andun din at Alyssa.. Prior to the start of Season 74 ata eto..

I COMPLETELY AGREE.
Sa starters ko wala akong second thoughts sa libero, setter, at OH. Libero kasi si Dawn na talaga, setter kasi mas matangkad si kim kay chie at makakatulong sa blocking, at sa OH naman mas ok ang attacking ni Cha at Ara compared kay Illa at Des tapos ara may back row at Cha may setting pa.
Sa Opposite, I think mas malakas na blocker si MG but mas ok attacks ni KKD. Mahirap na choice kasi super intense din si MG pero in terms of floor defense KKD kaya siya ang final ko.
Pinaka mahirap yung MB at marami malalakas. Ang mga nag MVP halos lahat bukod kaya Mika. For me pwede sila igroup sa 2, una tall and solid blockers MB1 (Majoy, Mika, Maureen) at solid attackers MB2 usually may slide or running attacks (Jacq, Des H, Aby).
Si Jacq ang may pinaka ok na combination ng parehong blocking at attacking plus best server pa kaya napili ko siya. Yung second ay toss up between Des H and Majoy. Medyo similar kay Jacq si Des H at grabe din running niya (IMO mas magaling running niya kay Aby) pero si MJB ang pinakamalakas na blocker proven by the semi pro leagues at ASEAN grand prix at magaling din na server plus may MB2 na kaya siya ang naging starter MB ko.
Bakit ko nilagay sa Team C si Aby? Sa tatlong MB2 para sakin mas malakas yung 2 sa peak nila plus pag big games medyo di siya consistent. Ngayon bakit Mika over Em? Timing nalang siguro at nakita pa natin growth ni Mika after UAAP na di na nagkaroon ng chance si Em during her career. Pero hirap din masabi talaga
Hustisya namn Kay Kumareng Demecillo. Nalimutan na ng sambayanang pilininensis si batlang anay. Pero legit, asan na kaya si batla? Ang galing pa naman ni chakaness lalo na sa floor defense. Higa Kung higa si Mami.
@@DanielSBalan nag flight stewardess siya. Pero di naman ata nalimutan kundi mas malakas lang talaga ibang players sa kanya. Maganda nga floor defense ni Cyd pero sa attacking di masyado. Kaya may time ginawa lang siyang service specialist

Agree sa iba. Instead of des cheng. Si Cha Cruz-Behag yung isa. Siguro di napili kc multi player si char cruz sa college times niya. Nag middle, open spiker, opposite at setter pa.
Cheng and Cruz are so good. Kaya it’s a toss up sa 2. It’s a matter of preference nlng. So Illa probably prefers Des kasi mas nagagalingan siguro sya kay Des sa position na yun. Both players are offense/defense. Cha is better blocker than Des. Des, on the other hand is far better server than Cha. Magaling din mag set yung 2 na to. Digging/receiving halimaw ang 2 to. So swerte kasabayan nilang liberos...
I was kinda expecting her to choose Penetrante as d 2nd middle. 😀
I want also to include Cha Cruz-Behag 'coz she will never be called Ms. Everything for nothing. She can spike, dig and receive excellently. Further, she could also set decently so for me, instead of Cheng, I want Behag to be included in Illa's named dream DLSU V.players.
