The solution is simple: Don't give your money to begging strangers, give it to Unicef or whatever organization you find to be trustworthy.

10 Years ago, I played a concert and someone pulled this scam. She got permission from the venue owner to go on stage and ask for donations. I gave $20 on stage (to get things going) and I’m guessing she walked out with at least $500.
She said she was with a very well known regional charity. She had photos , and gave us updates on how grim things were. About a week or two later, the lady that was on stage, was busted with meth, and shocker, no one from the foundation had ever heard of her. Sick people in the world, and this scam will never die.
Had the same type of scam multiple times in trains in australia as well. Girl looks pregnant, says she needs money to raise the baby because she is 8 months into pregnancy, I stayed there for like 6 months and she was somehow always at 8 months into pregnancy....
I remember someone using a picture of a sick kid to get donations on Twitter... Turns out the kid already died and the parents are angry and Warning people from the scam.

As a Syrian Refugee, who's been lucky to escape early , I cannot stress enough how many people are exploiting the Syrian refugees, especially in these camps: Children exploitation, Sex trafficking, Fraud, corruption, and organ harvesting. I haven't only heard about these stories, I've seen the families affected, and they're more common than one would think. Everyone's trying to escape, but alas, where to. Most people think "Europe". However, the road to Europe filled to the brim with kidnappers and organ harvesters it's crazy. And even if you could pull it off and escape these things, you might just drown in the Mediterranean or get shot crossing a border or something. No wonder they're accepting the 18% they're receiving. Anything is better than experiencing what I've mentioned above. I've seen good charities work, and they do help, but it's critical that you do the research, to know more about the organizations, before donating, as there are many fraudsters out there.
Why don't they go to countries that are closer and culturally more similar to their own? I don't know like Turkey? Sounds like they created their own problems by risking to go to Europe to make it a second Syria. If you want to illegally enter a country in mass numbers, you may be treated like an invasion. Fuck around and find out. Europe has enough problems, there are no free hand outs in this world. The world is overpopulated and competition for survival is natural so no, you can adopt and take them with you, I am ok with the reality that some of them don't make it and die gruesome deaths. It's the unfortunate part of life.

This type of shit actually pisses me off. There's so many people out there who have legitimately gotten the help they needed and this stuff is going to make that kind of thing near impossible to trust anyone, which hurts everyone in the end. Thanks for shedding light on this particular scam. I had some idea of TikTok scams but I had no idea this whole guild stuff was going on, wow.

I’ll never understand how people can exploit their children in such a vulnerable state, the streams that really disgust me are the ones with severely disabled children on life support, it’s just the modern day equivalent to selling your child to the freak show.
A couple of months ago my baby was in PICU, it put us into debt and was incredibly traumatic. There are pictures and videos which we could’ve easily posted to my husband’s channel with a gofundme but until our son is old enough to make good decisions they will never be seen by anyone but my husband and I and relevant medical professionals.
I'm a veteran and in 2018 I was stationed in a outpost in Jordan right by the Syrian border. The amount of MEDEVAC requests that we got that included children was easily the most stressful and sad thing about my time there. What a disgusting thing to do.
What do mean? were they mostly fake requests?
@@Mariet31 sorry for not clarifying enought, but the request were real and included children with major life threatening injuries, a lot of gunshot wounds, burns and beatings. These are children suffering these injuries.

This is far, far, far, *far* more common then people think. These type of war scam streams popup literally anytime you scroll on the TikTok live section. It's basically a "popular" genre and this point.
Do one about those guys that supposedly rescue animals, I'm convinced they're putting animals in danger just to pretend they save them on video

I've come across this a few times on TikTok! They put it on your "For You Page" so you'll randomly get them as you're scrolling. I've seen the same one multiple times in the past few months. It's gotten so bad that I've started seeing people parody versions of it, like people begging for donations over stuffed animals. The one I kept seeing was the first one in particular! It's seriously become a huge problem, because you can't go a few videos without seeing a stream like these.
I saw like 1 or 2 along ago had no idea it was a scam.
I think a majority of the platform's users are well-aware of it being a scam, I have come across several people live-streaming on there rediculing them in quite halarious ways. One guy I saw had a Yoda doll laying on a table, with an IV and I think a 2 liter of soda with a long straw going from it to the doll's mouth. The guy then did the typical 'cry, put your hands together in the prayer stance, start crying and beg' gesture. Occasionly he would point to the yoda doll and look at the camera again, then, along with crying, he started doing the YMCA dance, hands making box gesture around his head and a whole bunch of other dances. I was laughing my ass off.

I feel like I've seen this before, but with cats. There is a very similar criminal gang of people begging for money to treat their cats for FIP. Seems legit until you get hit up by a few accounts and realize they run off the same template.

Anyway never donate to people that ask you for money, search a charity in your area that you know is genuine and donate to them, it's the only way. Assume everything is fake on the internet, because it is most of the times

Ive seen similar youtube ad scams that show usually very ill or sick (looking) due to them being always bald with their “parents” begging for money and making the kids cry i don’t even know if its fake or not but seriously the begging for money thing seems so off putting...
There was an ad awhile ago on UA-cam with an African child saying he had aids, I just skip lmao. You getting aids ain't my problem. Sorry not sorry here to watch a video not give handouts to children I didn't choose to have or people who experience misery that I have not caused. Solve your own problems.

I did volunteering for a refugee shelter in Canada, as an immigrant high school student. The organizers were bragging about how they were going on vacations with the money a disabled Canadian donated.

But I see that some people are, somehow, easily persuaded.

It's strangely similar to venezuelan gold farmers on Old School Runescape. Their economy is in shambles and a lot of them don't have jobs so they go to wifi cafes and play runescape all day to farm gold to sell. They say it's more profitable than actually working a normal job in their country. Some good in-depth videos on the issue. That said, if they want to peddle sympathy, I don't blame them.

Scams are bad enough but the moment you use children to further your own wealth, there isn’t a cement block heavy enough that exists that I wouldn’t want to see dropped on to the person’s head who was responsible for using the child.

I've recently noticed a few people on live parodying some of those scam accounts, this one dude had a baby Yoda plushie with some earbuds taped to it's face. I would give my money to the baby yoda guy before the actual beggars.

I saw one where this guy was having a little boy saying 'thank you' repeatedly and was getting tons on donations and they were people in the chat telling him to stop the boy from saying it
That’s all TikTok live ever is. Looped videos. Anytime I see a stream it’s just a looped video or someone holding the phone too close to their face. They need to remove that feature of their app.
i can tell you as as a syrian who (just like all syrians) had their life completely flipped over by the war that these scams are not all that common nowadays, there was a wave of them back in 2017-19 and as a result people started donating to more renowned, certified organizations (molham team, the white helmets and others)
this new wave is mainly targeting foreigners, particularly those in the west. im genuinely very thankful for your efforts to combat those shameless dheads before they can spread any further. another thing im thankful for is discovering this channel back in 2020. you never disappoint, muta!
This is very similar to the classical street begging "mafia", which is very common for gypsies. Basically, an influential and/or feared local individual and his family force homeless and crippled children, mothers and elderly men to beg on the streets all day and take their earnings. Mind you, in many cases, a single beggar can make more money than what people that show pity earn themselves as wages, so it is a very profitable money making slavery with harsh punishments if not earning enough. With police cracking down these webs and the internet becoming so connected and loosely regulated, seems like these people moved to harass others in a more low-risk and easier sphere.

Theres a family in my area who sits on street corners and has a sign with a baby that says they need money for the baby's heart transplant. They travel far too to get money and sit out. One day someone caught them going into an ice cream shop them coming out getting into a BMW with a loui Vuitton bag. The wife was confronted and her kid yelled out fck you. Plenty of scammers out there

I’ve noticed some of this going around on Twitter. Accounts are trying to scam people and going to their profile and checking their replies shows that. Literally the same message over and over across multiple different accounts.

You don't. It's very simple. The only way to 100% not get scam is to not open your wallet. I don't see a reason why I should use my hard earn money to help someone I don't know. This world is overpopulated and you don't know who you're 'helping' it could be a pedo genuinely in distress for all you know. People who get scammed, deserve it. They willingly give money to someone they don't know who appear struggling.

Hey Muta , well TikTok is banned in Syria, there is no way to transfer money to Syria via bank accounts (from bank to bank), the only way is wire transfer or to a neighbouring country and then take it as cash
for the people in refugee camps, the countries that they are in it make it a ghetto so they cannot have bank accounts or find a job.

When TikTok or UA-cam or whatever social media site, whenever they essentially venue an illegal situation that is generating money, and it's found out to be illegal either through social exposure or law enforcement, do they give their illegal cut money back? 🤔

Finally someone is talking about this on UA-cam theres similar channels all using the same videos of some girl from Yemen crying and asking for money they comment everywhere usually on news videos and show their phone number

Yep! I remember seeing one of these (not exactly like this but of some disabled children on their phone and chatting and having fun) and the video audio of the children was on mute but I could hear snoring on the background but no one on the video was sleeping. These people play these videos on loop to garner sympathy from people in order to get money. Its honestly disgusting.
