I tested this out this past weekend,
some positives I have with this:
Very compact and lightweight for the size of the fire it allows.
Large surface area to cook on, I used a 12" skillet with no rack and had no problems resting it on the grill.
Easy to move slowly to adjust for wind capture, but I did accidentally dump my coals when I lifted one leg too high.
Very stable when legs are opened fully.
Convenient rack hook tool, but I used tongs instead.
some negatives I have with this:
I feel there should be some ventilation on the sides other than the 8 holes. In some wind, the flames shoot out the holes.
It bent "overloading" this above the arches for high flames. As expected, easily bent back flat when cooled.
The case is very snug, almost ripping the seams.
It would be nice to lock legs during use.
I love this thing! I will have to pick one up for sure!
They’re pretty handy for sure. Thanks for watching!
Wow, I love that!!!!! thanks for sharing!
Pamela Gonzalez it’s a pretty cool little setup, thanks for watching!
Thats a great looking product
Thats a hell of a match...gonna buy one and probably replicate where the weak points are (leg seams/swivel) and add a low profile cookie baking sheet for eggs and cutting board.
great reviewthis protable grill sounds super light, love it
Thanks for watching 😁👍
I just got one of these for my anniversary! I can't wait to use it, I'll probably use as a fire pit tonight just to try it out.
Nice! I hope it works out great for you. Thanks for watching 👍
How did you like it? I use mine exclusively as a fire pit and love it, I’ve had it for over a year, keeps you very warm and uses less wood than regular fire pits.
That,s a great looking grill .. And 3.2 pounds is not much to carry for a great supper in the woods ... Awesome job on review... Mark...
Thanks for watching! 👍
Thanks for the review. fyi, the 3rd piece is to lift the top grill, not to move it around (it acts as a stable handle) :)
Haha, yeah I kinda figured that out somewhere along the way after the video, although it does work well for both 😁 thanks for watching!
Love mine
Nice thank you for the information
ONETIME OUTDOORS Dj thanks for your support! 😁
Great review and awesome grill. Uco makes excellent stuff
Junkyard Fox I’m really happy with it so far, I’m actually considering getting the mini version as well. Thanks for stopping by my friend! 👍
That little piece is made to pick up the grill cooing rack, not to move the whole grill.
I dont even own one and I figured it out just by looking at it lol
🙄😣😖😑
The pitcalls of a paid endorsment. Dude has zero skill in what he is doing, and no idea what it should be used for.
Hi! Just saw this and was wondering - six months after your review - if the warping in the grill developed into your having to replace it, or if it's still rendering you pretty good service. We just retired and are getting ready to hit the road full-time in a Class B. So we like the not-much-space taken up aspect.
Have three stoves and 4 grills, all made out of SS and after use they have all warped to some extent. To be fair I use my stuff hard but as an aside, not a huge fan of
UCO gear.
Put the grill sideways so you can feed more wood/fuel easily👍
Great looking stove/grill. Nice review. New follower here. Crow✌️
That’s a pretty nifty little grill!
It is pretty cool 👍
I have the UCO flat pack mini amd the flat pack grill. Def suggest the grill and not the mini. Its too small. Sold the mini. Kept the larger. Its just 2.5lbs. Fits in the sleeve of my small backpack. Cools down really fast.
All the coals rest at the bottom with the V shape so the heat always stays consistent. Have had mine for years. Burgers, a small fire....fish, warming cast iron for frying, boiling water its a basass gamechanger.
With that v shape in the sides, you could totally put a spit roast on it
Great review! I have one main concern with grills like this. How long does it take for the body of the grill to cool down? How long do you have to wait to pack it up after use?
About 5 seconds with water
After some fairly heavy use the hinges for the end caps failed. They got stiffer and stiffer until the hinges bent. This can be averted if you keep the charcoal away from the ends.
Now that it’s been a year, is it still working?
Still going strong 👍
third piece is to lift the grill of
💪
I got it for $26. On sale. What a bargan
Great! actually it's also one of the popular grills in Japan.
Interesting, thanks for watching 👍
Nice touch with hotdog soup 🤙
Are there multiple sizes?
There is a Regular with a 13" x 10" cooking area, and a small or Mini that is 9" x 6.75".
You are impatient😅Now you will have a perfect glow when you are done😊
One concern with the V shape is that all the fuel tends to roll towards the centre. Leaving you with a thin hot zone, while the edges aren't hot enough to do the cooking properly. Maybe not so much of a concern in the bigger model cause there's still enough width to have a decent-sized cooking area but the smaller one would face this issue.
Great job on the review new friend. Also i like what you did with your channel.
You have my subscription, i would love to have your support as well.
Thanks again for sharing. I look forward to catching up on your channel 👊🏻

So...do I need to chop off a firewood to fit it in this thing?
That depends on how big the piece of wood is to start with.
This grill size is 13" x 10". "Standard" firewood is cut to 16" in length. So...yes. You'd probably need to saw a piece of firewood in half AND split each half into several smaller pieces.
Lighter Fluid? Thou hast blasphemed! Good review though.
£45 in the UK, we always get ripped off 8:00.
Just got mine on EBay UK for £37 and free P&P.
Sorry my friend, but you lost me when you poured lighter fluid on the charcoal.
Dude using your hands to take off the food is just nasty.no offense.
hello there tourist city boy, never put the grill on the fire while the flame are so high. this BEND and DISTORT your grill and WILL ruin it.
