Such a pleasure to listen to someone who has made a concerted effort to be really good at what they do. Dr. Hill is the kind of person we need serving the American people. She's taken a lifelong deep dive effort to understand Russian and Putin and we were able to tap into that effort to give our foreign policy an edge. Can you imagine if every person working for us, in every branch of government, had put forth this kind of effort, how the country could be run? @Robert Hunt She didn't work for Biden. She was asked by K.T. McFarland and Flynn to come on and help improve the relationship with Russia. She actually didn't get to do anything. Trumped completely dismissed her. When they brought her in to meet Trump and introduced her as an expert on Russia and the Ukraine, Trump dismissively said, "We don't need her. Tillerson is doing Russia." The next time she was there for an NSA meeting Trump had completely forgotten who she was and just assumed she was a secretary who was going to type a statement after the meeting. Her expertise was never utilized and completely ignored by the Trump administration.
I live on the West Coast. We have a lot of immigrants here, mostly Hispanic or Asian. I'm in my seventies and have observed over the years that America's immigrants are the most loyal, enthusiastic American patriots and are more well versed in American History and our Constitution than most of us. The more generations that have passed between our ancestors coming to these shores, the less Americans seem to love or even understand the promise of America.
That is SO TRUE!! I could spend HOURS sharing firsthand proof of your claims & praises regarding every Hispanic person I know. If I had my own company, I'd probably get in trouble for lack of diversity bc I'd hire as many Hispanic ppl as I could find & pay them as well, if not better than I'd pay myself.

Blacks, ....oh...and italians, Irishman, Norwegians, Sweeds, Russians, Chinese, British, Polish, Koreans, Indians, Catholics, Jews, Orthodox, Muslims, non-denomination, and WERE DOING JUST FINE!!! (THE LIST IS JUST TOO LONG TO INCLUDE EVERY ETHNIC GROUP AND EVERY RELIGION SO I APOLOGIZE IF I LEFT YOUR...YOUR ETHNIC OR RELIGION OFF OF MY COMMENT) WHICH IS MY POINT! KNOCK THIS SHIT OFF AND THE REST OF THE COUNTRY SHOULD BE AS WELL ADJUSTED AS WE ARE IN THE BAY AREA! AND ALL OF THE ABOVE can be involved in crime, and all of the above have contributed to the quality of living here in peace! We have our homeless and instead of looking at them in disgust, try remembering that we have no idea how their path was interrupted by some addiction, illness, financial ruin, etc. They didn't grow up homeless did they? My deepest appreciation to Dr. Fiona Hill for her bravery and honor in her testimony, books, interviews and other public entreaties made to the public with the goal to essentially save the U.S. from the attempts to destroy American democracy by forces of authoritarianism represented by Trump, and his religious-based cult.
I lived for a while in the town she came from.. boy was it a poor rough area... she did well to get away, obvs v bright! She gives great insight into the problems the USA faces, the threats to democracy. I'm astonished really that this country has allowed vested corporate interests to undermine democracy in the way they have.
This does not really focus upon opportunity in the 21st Cebtury, rather does discuss the alarming partisanship and demise of democracy and our involvement in civic action.
😦Surely you understand that the opportunity of the 21st century without stability in your underlying fundamentals is not possible. Fundamentals like - bipartisan strategy for climate change; diversity in the workplace so the best and the brightest are valued and engaged regardless of their race; class; sex; religion; antecedents etc; basic trust in the key civil institutions - Political process; Value of your vote; Certainty that your vote will be counted; judges will act impartially and without personal and political agendas; politicians will make laws that benefit the voters not corporate donors and lobbyists. etc.
What a great gift to America, but would be interested in her insights about what is happening in the newest members of EU, Latvia, Estonia, and others! Don't like what I am hearing all around the perimeter of Russia and the buffer nations.
Finally, someone who points out that even whites discriminate against other whites, etc. (I arrived at that when I moved to Boston, too -- seeing how many "whites" lived in their "own" sections (Irish, Jewish, Italian, various individual European groups, etc.).

Opportunity? Nationalize the land and give back the land to the farmers. Nationalize industry and give the factories to the worker associations
