I have debated many people on Islam for the last 30 years... Especially to non-muslims who claim to have read the Quran and then state it is a beautiful book. This is done by people that buy into government propaganda and the idea that to be critical of Islam is a phobia (an irrational fear) and racist. So I, start off saying that since they have read the Quran, and consider it beautiful, how do they feel about rape, pedophilia and murder just for a start, they will invariably say that such things are disgusting. Then as self claim scholars of the book I give them the suras that show all of the above and they are dumbfounded. The reason they are dumbfounded is simple... They have never read the book (they lied) and furthermore they were simply given particular examples of the Quran, incomplete in their context, that are deliberately used by Islamists to deceive infidels. The biggest reaction, after revelation, is to disbelieve the facts presented and look with scepticism at me. It is hard to fight indoctrination. Most people are fools.

I was in the Mormon church. After reading its history and its rules I did a book report for my English class the elders told the bishop and the bishop ordered that I hand it over to him. Why.? So I did two copies. Them after handing one copy over a week later I got it back. Edited. I immediately told them I am no longer with them.
Always found it ironic that when Muslims pray… 5 times a day I might add, not one time do they pray to Christ, but they do indeed pray to Mohammed who was a man.
Amazing that Christ says false christs and false prophets will arise, not TRUE christs and prophets. Prophets which arise are not proclaiming the message of Christ and teaching people to follow it, but rather they create new doctrines and form churches on them. I used to be a Seventh Day Adventist, and my living room is my church for me and my family. Pray for me and many others who are distancing themselves from such churches.

I'm a Christian, but I forced myself to read the Quran to understand Islam. The Quran is the most poorly written book ever. It is torture to even read it. Not only is it not God's inspired words, it has no literary value either.

I found Sam’s content recently and he is very entertaining and clearly knowledgeable. I was raised in the LDS church but left about a decade ago, I’m not one of those vehement ex-Mormons or hold any particular hatred of the church. I just didn’t feel comfortable so I stopped going, but my family still does and they don’t shun me or anything. I suppose that makes me an agnostic? This is the first I’ve heard of Joseph Smith being compared to Muhammad, if anyone can point me to one of Sam’s videos or articles explaining his arguments or grievances against the Book of Mormon and the LDS church it would be appreciated so I can learn more of why he disagrees with them.

Thank you so much for doing this Sam. So many times, I wanted to ask about this. I could not understand as a Christian why when he saw God he was scared. No other encounter with God or angel are they scared. I thought he did not encounter anything of God. I think of all stories told of seeing the Seraphim and they say before you see them making themselves known, be not afraid. They don't want you scared, you are so loved in the presence of God. But I also caught Satan or the gin he saw or was possessed by told him were made of coagulated blood and that is not what the bible said, we were made of dust from the earth. Unless it meant something else I missed but I could not understand why in the encounter in the cave it told him that either. That in itself felt evil to say.

I found Sam’s content recently and he is very entertaining and clearly knowledgeable. I was raised in the LDS church but left about a decade ago, I’m not one of those vehement ex-Mormons or hold any particular hatred of the church. I just didn’t feel comfortable so I stopped going, but my family still does and they don’t shun me or anything. I suppose that makes me an agnostic? This is the first I’ve heard of Joseph Smith being compared to Muhammad, if anyone can point me to one of Sam’s videos or articles explaining his arguments or grievances against the Book of Mormon and the LDS church it would be appreciated so I can learn more of why he disagrees with them.

Thank you so much for doing this Sam. So many times, I wanted to ask about this. I could not understand as a Christian why when he saw God he was scared. No other encounter with God or angel are they scared. I thought he did not encounter anything of God. I think of all stories told of seeing the Seraphim and they say before you see them making themselves known, be not afraid. They don't want you scared, you are so loved in the presence of God. But I also caught Satan or the gin he saw or was possessed by told him were made of coagulated blood and that is not what the bible said, we were made of dust from the earth. Unless it meant something else I missed but I could not understand why in the encounter in the cave it told him that either. That in itself felt evil to say.

I think the most incriminating things that goes against Islam and Mormonism is that Paul says if an Angel of light comes and gives you another revelation of Christ, do not be deceived. Both Islam and Mormons religions all start from revelation from an Angel of Light.
