I have a very similar setup. Been running the same topper and TopOak tent for two years now. I like you ladder trick. Makes me think that's the way they intended it to be used. I pack my tent opposite of you though. I make the bed, laying the blankets nice and flat. The pillows go all the way to the front (I have the same mattress), cross bar goes down and then the ladder goes at the rear in the hoop of the cross bat. This way, when I pull in to camp, I hop on the tailgate, open the tent, pull the ladder out, pull the hoop all the way forward, open the valves on the mattress so it can inflate and then set up the ladder and finish deploying the tent.
Thank you for your comment; that makes sense. Next time, I will reverse the pillows and ladder and check it out, as it seems more efficient. Together, we'll make this the best tent! Thanks.
Hi, Thank you for your comment. All is cold, but well... lol. I hope you're doing well too. Those are the Top Oak 270-degree awning brackets. I found them on Top Oak's website under the accessories tab. I did not like the ones it came with, but I do like these ones as they ride a lot closer.
Have the exact same roof tent, awning and shower room. Love it.
Thank you for the comment, yes, I 100 percent agree, everything works well together and I love it as well!
