I love this song,
It took me a while but it got to one of my favorite Against Me! songs
Amoo! ;**
Laura is so damn cool
Ouch, cold reception. Never got why this song is so unpopular. Just another classic from this band, IMO.
I think because a lot of their fans are CURRENT anarchists and the song deals with a teenager falling out of politics
+Adam Evans Nah, it's not though. Laura is still an anarchist. This song is about how you have to hold your own beliefs and not conflate radical politics with being punk its mainstream anarchism, because that is a bloodless ideology. Laura said this song isn't about giving up what you believe in... I think it's about growing old with what you believe in.
+Tigerpuffer that's interesting, i personally came into anarchism as a pacifist and I slowly turned radical. So I was actually the opposite of Laura in that sense. Thanks for the comment! Makes me enjoy the song much more
+Adam Evans "I'm not asking myself if I remember when I wanted to set the world on fire, I'm asking the listener." Laura
I also became more "radical" over time. I was a young liberal. :p
+Tigerpuffer I guess the cold reception comes from the misunderstanding from the audience! They must of had a simpler distaste to the song I had. Glad I had to change my opinion xD because I really liked the song musically but disagreed with it from a political stand point. But now that you've changed my opinion it only. Deepens my appreciations of the song and band
hi
This song...damn it hits hard in the heart
