This song is about how you have to hold your own beliefs and not conflate radical politics with being punk its mainstream anarchism, because that is a bloodless ideology. Laura said this song isn't about giving up what you believe in... I think it's about growing old with what you believe in.

Glad I had to change my opinion xD because I really liked the song musically but disagreed with it from a political stand point. But now that you've changed my opinion it only. Ouch, cold reception. Never got why this song is so unpopular. Just another classic from this band, IMO.
I think because a lot of their fans are CURRENT anarchists and the song deals with a teenager falling out of politics
