@Baronarx V Hmmmm not that bad imo in 2021 he finished in the T10 in 3 majors, including a 2nd at the PGA. 2022 he's had a couple good finishes so far, the best being the WGC match play T5, I agree he's been in a slump but I think it's very temporary and that it mainly was caused by injuries

For those who don't think Phil and Tiger belong on this list, you haven't been watching golf below the surface of network coverage over the decades they've been playing. Especially where Phil is concerned. There was a shift when Amy got cancer and the cameras showed Phil and Amy tearfully embracing after wins such as the Masters. For years he was at the top of the list of being perceived as obnoxious and phony by other players. Fans were turned off by his phoniness as well. With Tiger, its a love hate thing it seems. For every fan that loves him in spite of his treatment of fans and sticky personal life, there's another who can't stand him.

When I was a teen, Fuzzy treated my friend and I to a series of awesome trick shots on the range after the round. It was just the three of us and his caddy. He also told us a bunch of jokes (all off-color). We were in heaven. He sure didn't have to entertain a couple of wide-eyed kids like that. Made me sad that he made those Tiger remarks that sunk his rep, because I figured--and still do--that he was a compulsive joker without a filter and the reporters egged him on when he was drunk and upset after getting stomped out there by the new kid on the block. I sure can't imagine any of the douches on this list doing what he did for us boys.

I saw a compulsion to be funny and entertaining, which he didnt just show to us, but you could see time and again on TV. Working at a comedy club has put me around characters like that a lot: they tell jokes and say impolite things all the time. The thing about comedy is that it's a place where the social rules are allowed to be broken. People laugh at what's normally forbidden to say. And I have to say that I've never been at a place with greater social and racial harmony. It's very diverse. A typical lineup might have an Asian lesbian, followed by a black gay guy, then an angry old white guy, then ...well...anything. Comedy is a great bridge and healer among and between people. Fuzzy may be a jerk, or maybe not. I just think it's sad what happened to him because my gut tells me he's basically a good guy.
