Mechanical switching has the advantage that if you are traveling in the middle of nowhere, the battery cannot run out.

I’m a little over 1200 miles on mine. I love this bike and I don’t regret my purchase at all. Here’s the issues I’ve run into. The headset will likely come from the factory bone dry. Mine had rusted by the time I got to it. Just apply grease when you build it. Also make sure you have carbon paste when you build. Priority doesn’t include a packet. The wheels do not appear to be serviceable per my LBS. If you ride muddy gravel, expect to replace them. My front hub became gritty at around 1K. I purchased an Onyx single speed wheel set and love them. I’ve had to retighten the Pinion cranks a couple of times already and reapply carbon paste. The manual states torque to 10nm but mine don’t seem to stay put at that torque. You will need a 4-5 inch 4mm hex bit for your torque wrench to properly reach the drive side.

Got mine on day 1. Doing my first charge now after 550 miles with lots of climbing here in Denver, CO. Love this bike and how it is completely silent. I switched to smaller tires for more road focused riding.

Got mine in the first round they shipped. I rode mine on the C&O/GAP back in Late August, it was an awsome experience. On the near 400 mile 5 day ride it used almost 30 percent battery. I am new to bile packing and still refining my system.
I have also done some single track and several rides with buddies on MTB trails.
All in all, got just under 1k on it since I bought it and 2 century rides on it. I am absolutely in love with this maintenance free fun machine!

Wow. This brings back memories for me. When I was a kid in middle school, I think it was 6th grade, I got my first big boy bike. It was a 10-speed with drop handles. My father and I put it together in his garage (parents were divorced), and it was from Sears if I remember correctly. I had so much fun on it, with the gearing and getting to ride it all over, including riding in some races with it around downtown Dallas (TX) in the early 80s. Lots of good memories, and makes me excited about considering my next bike to be another drop tube bike. You're right, that you have so many varieties of hand positions on the drop tubes that gives you a chance to get out of a certain seating position and change it up to find relief on the long rides. It's not as much of a need for the electronic shifting, but the pinion gearing and gates belt drive is the winner. And having a simple drivetrain with nothing but the pinion cleans up the bike, keeps all the gears close to the crank. Looks nice!

The gearboxes need some force to shift which is why they use gripshift instead of an indexed shifter. In the dropbar it's even more pronounced, hence they use electric shifting. You can still get Apollo but miss some features though.

SO excited to say that I just bought the titanium Gemini! I was able to take advantage of the black Friday sale, which saved me $1,200, and I'll have it by January! If this is something that you are considering buying (regardless of the model) now is the time. I highly doubt you'll see savings like this again until maybe next November. This is a bike that I expect to last me forever, and based off of the research I've done, I see no reason why it won't. I can hardly wait for the adventures to come on this amazing machine! I like the Di2 lectric shifting on my roadbike, its not what I would call a deal breaker having it, but it is cool.
It goes right around 800 miles before it needs a battery charge, that's a fair amount of flat group rides, with some good climbs also.
If you can charge your phone, you can charge a battery in a bike.
I go back to my gravel bike or mt bike with normal shifting and its no big deal, I know how to work on them and keep them right.
I wanna try a Priority though! I like the simplicity and lack of anything to fool with on the bike,

I did the C&O/GAP over 5 days, and I am a person who is really cadence picky, so I am constantly shifting. I used a little under 30 percent in right at 400 miles. This bike last a long time on battery.

@@JamesWindland I'm a heavy shifter too and yeah, battery seems to just last and last. I had ZERO battery anxiety this weekend on my 223 miler.

@@JamesWindland That's a REALLY good data point, thanks James! I just did GAP/C&O a few months back on my 600x, battery life never changed 🫣

Gear inches for lowest gear with those wheels? Gear inches for highest gear with those wheels?

The stock gearing is 39/32T, which offers gear inches
from 18.5 to 112”. Changing to a 34t rear and a 118t belt will lower
the gearing to 17.5” in lowest gear and 105.5” in highest gear.
Changing to a 28t rear and a 113t belt will raise the gearing to
21.1" in lowest gear and 118" in the highest gear.

About 3 years ago I messaged Priority asking if they were going to make a bike like this. Now, here it is and I can't afford it.

Great review!!! That shifting looks super smooth. I can't imagine not running into a charge opportunity inside of 100hrs of ridingbut just out of curiosity.... can it be recharged off a battery bank?.....and in normal situations how long does it take to charge?
    Thanks for the video!!!!

Good question, I kinda doubt a battery bank would work, but I’ll check their website. Takes an hour to charge

Priority gravel bikes urgently need internal cable routing. These external cables just look ugly and get in the way if you want to attach a handlebar bag.
Otherwise I think the bike is really good. But unfortunately not available to buy in Germany. Priority must come to Europe.

The charger plug is crap. It should have at least an adapter to USB-C, then you could charge this thing anywhere in the world from a phone charger, power bank, or even your phone if you need to. Battery life depends not only on the number of shifts but also on the outside temperature so it will die earlier during the winter.
