    Thank you so much! I've been using IINE pro max for a few months and it's been a really good time.
    Seeing it can do insane rolls like in the arcade removed my doubt of its capabilities.
    Gotta practice rolling more from now on :D

      I'm glad I can finally put some of this information out there while working on the other bits of information on the Pro Max! I'm glad you've been really enjoying your drum a bunch!!! Keep working hard on your Taiko drumming!! XD

    I know you had lots to say about this particular one. As a complete newbie to Taiko I can genuinely see that you're not hyping it up for no reason.

      Pro Max gud drum, and I’m tired of ppl saying it isn’t LOLLL

    4:49 It only works on PS5 when playing PS4 titles, i.e. Drum Session. It does not work with Rhythm Festival, because that's a PS5 title. Not unless you use an adapter. Brook Wingman FGC2 supposedly works.
    I got my Pro Max around the same time you did, for about the same price ($135 including shipping). Really a no-brainer for that. So far, I didn't have the drum skin problem you mentioned. But one of the sensor cables broke off on mine. I could easily fix it with a soldering iron, though. Since I also have a TDC10 and a Taikoller, I can directly compare them, and I prefer it over the TDC10, which is just too small for my taste.
    Does that sensitivity adjustment software actually work for you? If your drum is from November 2023, it probably has the older firmware. Newer Pro Max have an additional Xbox mode, activated by holding the L+R buttons while plugging in USB.

      I see, interesting how they include that PS5 works when it kinda doesn’t (I don’t have either PlayStation to test) but I did also hear about the Wingman FGC2 working so idk 🤷‍♂️
      And yeah despite my drum firmware being older, the sensitivity tool works great, made the drum even better than it already was for me. I’m still working on the other video about it but of course the drum having different firmware depending on when you bought it is something I still need to look into more.

    Thank you for the great review. My drum is still in transit and can’t wait to try my hands on it. Also really looking forward to your next video on the improvement software.

      My pleasure!! I'm working real hard on the other video! Hopefully your drum delivers with no shipping problems and you get the best experience with it! 🫡❤️

    been waiting for this! gathering info from different posts and videos since i’m looking to buy one during 11.11 sales next year. i only recently got a hori ps5 tatacon so it’s a bit too soon to be buying a new drum lol. (also for future reference IINE is pronounced いいね = ee-neh 😊)

    • @IkaiaGotRhythm
      @IkaiaGotRhythm  5 днів тому +1

      I had a feeling it was actually pronounced いいね LOLLLLL but yeah I definitely think this is a great drum to have without breaking the bank. It really does well with those tougher 10 star songs, it's honestly so surprising how far you can take the drum

      I highly suggest you if you’re from europe dont buy it during sales like black friday 11.11 or any sales. Aliexpress bumps it up to original price during the sale season (instead of 160 euro it becomes 297). If you’re from US go for it, i noticed that it remains the same price (I simulated the shopping cart). Hope you got your drom soon!

    I'm pretty much between the iine Pro Max and the Rhythmagica TDC10 Any recommendation on either? I have a regular iine one, and it is just not sensitive enough. Ka's feel terrible, sometimes don's don't register, and I quite regret the purchase but I can't return it so I'm taking the loss. Given my experience with that controller I am hesitant to get another iine product, but I would try it since I've heard good things about it.

      They both are really good mid-range priced drums that I couldn’t make a true recommendation for ya. They both can do what you need it to for a long time, I can promise you that the Pro Max is really good, what I can’t promise is the possibility of issues with the drum during shipping.

    So it’s not only me that I notice the input lags in switch version. Have you tried to hook your switch to your external speakers?

    • @IkaiaGotRhythm
      @IkaiaGotRhythm  5 днів тому

      It definitely isn’t you, I don’t normally play with headphones on in any Taiko game, switch or PC, I only ever play through speakers. But when I first got the drum, the bad input latency and dropped inputs on switch were something I immediately noticed, so I definitely think it’s a switch issue rather than a drum issue. That’s just my thought though.

    i've had my iine pro max for a little over a week now, and im experiencing a lot of random double taps (when i hit once) and many dropped inputs aswell.
    i also feel like there is a significant amount of input delay, and i have to force myself to tap earlier to get a better score rating in the game.
    any suggestions on what i could do to help solve the issue? i tried the sensitivity tool but i feel like it didnt change anything (i followed the steps in the reddit post to make sure i was modifying the sens on the controller)

    • @IkaiaGotRhythm
      @IkaiaGotRhythm  5 днів тому

      I'm currently editing the other video about how to improve input performance, latency, and sensitivity, but what I can say is that the polling rate of the drum is probably that its still default rate which is already low, there's another piece of software you can use to increase the polling rate of the Pro Max to 1000hz instead of whatever the default is, using that on top of the sensitivity tool makes it very

    I read that it doesn’t register when hit on both sides at the same time for big don, is it true? Is there a workaround it?

    • @IkaiaGotRhythm
      @IkaiaGotRhythm  2 дні тому +1

      In my honest opinion, the workaround to that is to not do them entirely. For harder songs it’s less likely that you’ll ever need to hit both sides! Unless your score matters that much to you or you’re playing ranked, hitting both sides isn’t completely necessary

    • @amarokorama
      @amarokorama 2 дні тому +1

      Pretty much all piezo-sensor drums don't support true simultaneous double inputs. That's because recognizing them would make signal processing harder and more error-prone. What they usually do is output sequential inputs (e.g. first one side, then after a fraction of a second the other side), when the double hit was strong enough, or also not perfectly simultaneous. As long as both inputs are in a short enough time window, the game will register them as a double hit / big note either way. Smaller drums like the TDC10 are actually worse at this, since their piezo-sensors are physically closer together. But at least the TDC10 offers easily accessible configuration options so that you *might* be able to dial in settings that work for you. Anyway, that crude IINE configuration utility might be able to do the same. If not, you'll need to live with a slightly lower score. I don't care. Double hits / big notes are bugged in the new Rhythm Festival anyway, at least on PC - they're framrate dependent, and therefore easier to achieve when playing at 60 fps than at 120 fps. I play at 360 fps...
