I see it was used to haul a massive transformer into place. For year, my power company, Mississippi Power and Light, used Dragon Wagons to haul huge transformers.
Here in the UK there was a heavy haulage company in the fifties called Wynns who bought about 6 dragon wagons as war surplus and built their own cabs on them I believe 1 or 2 of them still exist in preservation, they were all named and I think dreadnought is one of them still around
How about special support vehicles for siege guns and other specialized wheeled or rail axillary equipment for them? For example ammunition carriers and engineering support equipment for those huge guns.
Hi, what type of vehicle is shown on the lowbedhange at 1:13 min.. Looks like a Brückenlegepanzer (bridge-laying-tank) to cross rivers etc. Any more information on that?! thx
Ansonsten guter Bericht.
the unsung heroes of logistics. I'm always fascinated by the support vehicles. thanks for posting!
german engineering 👌 very smart people.
Ever worked on newer German cars? They aren’t that smart….
Not as smart as the Jews, though!! Germany lost BOTH world wars, while Israel has won every war it's fought!!
@@rickjames9477ever worked on any new car?
Yet not smart enough that they decided to start a war when they could barely get rubber for vehicle tyres...
That's why didn't.
The British did.
... great background information on the subject of defence technology WW.II, thank you !!!
extraordinario...unico documental sobre este transportador de vehiculo...muchas gracias.
Cool, I have never seen the piece of equipment before, thank you.

Thank you.
Marvelous engineering ,in World War 2 by Germans

At 1:13 in the video, was that an armored assault bridge shown on the transporter? If so, never hear anything about its development.
Sonderanhänger 😊
You would hope that rear axle steering system was power-assisted!
Interessante Bilder! Danke fürs Zeigen!👍

I think it’s a Brückenleger IV. Bridge laying equipment on a panzer IV chassis. There were also Brückenleger I and II on the respective chassis.
brilliant post
Amazing information 👌
