B Thomas I was there too dude, it was an epic gig! I've seen the mighty Steven Gene Wold five times now, once at the Royal Albert Hall which sounded blooomin amazing, but the Wembley gig was really special wasn't it. A true artist who plays PROPER REAL music..and that beautiful talented man can really play!! He hits you with stomping knees up tunes and then can bring you to tears with stunning plucking and beautifully sung lyrics...what a voice. You add into the mix Mad Dan, his ridiculously good (one of the best working) drummer and the excellent Georgina Leach's gorgeous fiddle playing and you got one of the best live acts you can see in my humble opinion. Big up rant over now...I just had to reply to your spot on comments and show my love for Steve 'The Walking Man'.
I think this is the best musician and guy there ever was, and that says a lot because there are some goodies over time. Love love love me some seasick Steve. Thanks brother. Get it..
[LYRICS] Hmm. Hm. [Verse 1] Now some people think that they deserve it They think they above us, they think they earned it They think their money, make 'em smart But I wonder what it does, to their heart That's what I wonder Hey, hey [Verse 2] Politicians and bankers, is all the same They all belong to this little club, big business is its name And big business belongs to that club too Just, not, me and you Hey, hey [Verse 3] They make these decisions for us, 'cause they know best And if you believe that, I got another test I got this bridge over in Brooklyn, I been tryin' to sell And sometimes I wish there was a Hell [Chorus] A He-He-He-Hell A He-He-He-Hell A He-He-He-Hell A He-He-He-Hell Hey, hey [Verse 4] All these wars, ain't it just about money They expect us to go along, like a bunch of crash dummies Power, money, religion dancin' on our heads But someone gotta stick around, to bury the dead [Chorus] He-He-He-Hell He-He-He-Hell He-He-He-Hell He-He-He-Hell Lord, have mercy [Verse 5] Sometimes I just want, to fly away To another world that's not so insane Where everybody respect one another Where everybody are, sisters and brothers You think I'm naive? Well? [Bridge] I only got one more thing to say To all you power people think you hidden away Maybe we'll meet someday, who can tell And maybe there really is, a place called Hell [Chorus] A He-He-He-Hell A He-He-He-Hell A He-He-He-Hell A He-He-He-Hell Lord, have mercy Lord, have mercy
WOW...For a sec pressing play, I thought has Steve sold out? BOOM no, he kicking Ass and giving names, both barrels, sorry it took me so long to find this Gem. Free Spirit, literally drives demons crazy, stay free even unto the end, and imo, we will see each other on a higher Plane. Love this, thank you Steve, all I got is my Spirit and you help raise it. Priceless.

I can't remember any that made new records at his age, in history! He's 75 now... Does anyone remember someone that was still playing at 75? John Lee Hooker perhaps? Dk
Leonard Cohen he just died at the age of 82 saw him in Edmonton Alberta Canada a few years ago and still could out perform most of the artists out now. I love Seasick Steve although he does more of a rock& blues sound Cohen was no slouch either he did the Sopranos series theme song.
WILLIAM RALPH yeah, never been into Cohen's... Should listen to some and tell some... 😂 My question was about badasses the same old as that man 😉 I think Mr Hooker was 80 also, when he performed his last gigs
I saw him live a few weeks ago, playing this song, my god! Fucking epic!
I saw Steve at wembly a few weeks back, outstanding performance. This song was powerful live!

[LYRICS]
Hmm. Hm.
[Verse 1]
Now some people think that they deserve it
They think they above us, they think they earned it
They think their money, make 'em smart
But I wonder what it does, to their heart
That's what I wonder
Hey, hey
[Verse 2]
Politicians and bankers, is all the same
They all belong to this little club, big business is its name
And big business belongs to that club too
Just, not, me and you
Hey, hey
[Verse 3]
They make these decisions for us, 'cause they know best
And if you believe that, I got another test
I got this bridge over in Brooklyn, I been tryin' to sell
And sometimes I wish there was a Hell
[Chorus]
A He-He-He-Hell
A He-He-He-Hell
A He-He-He-Hell
A He-He-He-Hell
Hey, hey
[Verse 4]
All these wars, ain't it just about money
They expect us to go along, like a bunch of crash dummies
Power, money, religion dancin' on our heads
But someone gotta stick around, to bury the dead
[Chorus]
He-He-He-Hell
He-He-He-Hell
He-He-He-Hell
He-He-He-Hell
Lord, have mercy
[Verse 5]
Sometimes I just want, to fly away
To another world that's not so insane
Where everybody respect one another
Where everybody are, sisters and brothers
You think I'm naive?
Well?
[Bridge]
I only got one more thing to say
To all you power people think you hidden away
Maybe we'll meet someday, who can tell
And maybe there really is, a place called Hell
[Chorus]
A He-He-He-Hell
A He-He-He-Hell
A He-He-He-Hell
A He-He-He-Hell
Lord, have mercy
Lord, have mercy
