Won't buy Michelin Tire again if it's the last tire on earth.
All my so called premium quality Michelin tires cracks with a million smiles.
As for the 5 years fake warranty from Michelin for manufacturing defect ? Looks like 4 rolling time bombs on wheels .
Kiss them goodbye in only 3 years with no adjustment, no replacement, and no refund. But played plentiful of famous "Michelin BLAME GAME" for them to laugh at.
There are plenty better tires from the competitions , go figure.

I used them last winter too and was impressed with traction in all snow conditions and even worked surprisingly well when icy. The CC2 is much better than any traditional “all-season” tire and doesn’t compromise much compared to a dedicated winter tire. We live in a very mountainous area of north central Washington state, 5 miles from town (25 miles from the city) on a private road that we have plow and maintain ourselves.
We get 5-7 feet of snow every winter.
We have found that the Cross Climate 2 tires are Awesome on Dry, wet, slushy, snowy, logging and forest roads.
We recommend these tires to everyone.
Our Subie’s have great traction and since installing the Cross Climate 2 tires our Subaru’s are planted more firmly on the road or lack there of.
My wife recommended them to both of her brothers (they live in Montana). One of her brothers put them on their Outback and love the tires.
I told my brother who he and his wife live in Portland Oregon. He laughed and told me that they already have them on their Outback as well. They get all of the rain and we get all of the snow.
When our Cross Climate 2 tires wear out we’ll replace them with another set.

I am using a set of CrossClimate+ on my daily driver Corolla. Got them for $600 from Tyre Rack, and are turning 10,000 miles/1 year by around October of this year. These tires were able to take me thru a freak winter storm in the Chicago suburbs. 4 inches of snow on the road at one time, and the storm totaled up to 8 or 9 inches. I definitely recommend them, especially during those "transition" months, and here in Chicago where weather can be crazy sometimes. But I wouldn't go crazy with the snow depth, especially if your car doesn't have the ground clearance.

I'm completely blown away by these tyres. Since i got these tyres we've had everything from completely frozen roads to 30cm of snow to dry roads and temperatures -20 C. Today we have rain and slushy roads here in Sweden. So far I have not had any problems.
Going uphill in cold snowy conditions on my studded tyres it always spinn but with these there is no problems. It must be the rib threads.
When i bought the tyres i thought that i'd change to normal studded winter tyres when it got below freezing but the CC2 have worked so well that i'm gonna drive them through winter.
Havent noticed any change in gas mileage, Sweden just changed to 10E here so it it's bad anyways.. and road noise is hard to tell as we have the worse roads in the universe lol.

I had the CrossClimate+ on my car, and it was a really good tyre. I'd describe it, as Michelin do, as a Summer tyre with Winter capability. I could spot zero compromise in the dry or wet, and they were worlds apart from the stock Continental PremiumContact 5 the car came with in the Snow - totally different. Even lasted well, being removed at nearly 30,000 miles.
I now have the Continental AllSeasonsContact. They seem slightly (very slightly) better in the wet, not as good in the dry and about the same in Snow. Wear seems good, but possibly not as good as the Michelin.
Also driven the same model car on Goodyear Vector4 Seasons. These are quieter than the above, more comfortable, and handle well in the dry and wet. Not driven them in Winter so can't comment, but the owner of the car says they're good. Wear seems higher then either the Michelin or Continental. The quietness and comfort is really noticeable and if that's your priority, go for these. The wear may be a factor if you are a high-mileage driver. These were not an XL tyre but the other two were - so there's that.
No significant difference in fuel economy between the three, but for the record the Michelin was best but by such a small margin it's hardly definative.
Pretty sure the CC2 will be my next tyre, whenever I need it.

Continentals deliver lasting performance where Michelins are specially formulated to get soft and waste themselves after 3 to 4 years.
Besides on FRONT wheel drives passenger cars Michelins tires make the steering feel like chewing gum as opposite to Continental the car still drives on rails after 40kMi.
Michelin has the best PR fluff and the highest pricing for people who don't know better.

Love these tires. Have had them about 6 months (CC-2) and they are much quieter than the Hankook tires that came with my 2017 Honda CRV EXL. I live in FL and they grip the road strong in wet weather and ride smooth all the time. Hold air very well. 100% satisfied. Amazing tires. To be honest, since most people go over the winter with summer tyres on their car I'm increasingly thinking that - now this technology exists - the government should possibly introduce the seasonal tyre laws like you get in many parts of Europe. 10 years ago this would have meant people swapping over, which is onerous on many levels, now it would just mean people having to chose a "year round" tyre with both sets of markings, rather than running a summer tyre all winter as they do today with sometimes tragic results.
The weird thing is that these things are not "slightly" better than summer tyres - they're in a totally different league in winter conditions but I can't say I detect any downsides compared to summer tyres. So - why wouldn't you?

I work as a technician where we manufacture these in 17/18in seat sizes and the special trick with these tires is the tread compound. It’s formulated so the rubber doesn’t get really hard in cold weather and ride/grip poorly but doesn’t become super sticky and wear fast in warm weather. But having the full depth sipes, down to 2/32, is a worthwhile cost of a lot of Michelin, Uniroyal, BFGoodrich tires.

Even on light snow it was slow and very scary/nerve racking being on them and had to go to the Blizzak WS80's and have been safe since! The Blizzak's are horrible for fuel and tread wear which everyone knows but I choose safety over that anytime. The WS90's just came out which has a stiffer compound but that doesn't mean it's better for RWD cars, softer compounds are always a better thing especially for Canadian winter!

It’s rated for *light snow*. Winter tires are made to where the rubber will not be effected in temperatures that are below freezing for months at a time. The other funny part is that after one year of release that had to change things and rebrand as the cross climate 2.
Dont over pay for the Michelin tax. Get Nokian’s if your looking at this segment of tires.

An expensive tire yet rated for unmatched reliability and performance, I was going to bite down hard and buy them after reading the excellent reviews on Consumer Reports.
I tried to find a good deal, since they were about $175-180.00 before installation for the CrossClimate 1s. I own a 2007 Toyota Camry LE.
However, the gentlemen from my local tire shop (Mavis Tire) sold me on four Achilles 868, all season tires.
Did a bit of research and found that most people were happy with them, and their website notes that the parent company, PT Multistrada Arah Sarana (MASA) sought “technical assistance from global manufacturer Pirelli (1991 to 1994), followed by a similar agreement with Continental (1994 to 2000),” which left me mostly satisfied with MASA’s technology.
They grip nice and have performed well in the rain, but I can only imagine how well these perform considering the excellent reviews. One “potential” negative that I found for the v1 of the tire was road noise, so I wonder if Michelin has found a solution. Great video! 👍🏾

I have had my eyes on these tires for quite sometime now. And i am just about sold on purchasing them. Having previously bought a set of Michelin tires in the past and been more than satisfied , I can't wait to purchase these tires and test them out.

I just called my local tire shop here in BC and they said the warehouse has stock but it’s very popular so inventory is somewhat fluid

The snow actually is not a problem, but the compressed snow or frost in the morning, where ONLY true winter tyre works. Considering this, my XC70 has Cross Climate + for 9 months (70% asphalt, 30% gravel, sand, mud). When it gets wet, cold and tricky, another set of soft compound winter rubber goes on.
Waiting a test from Tyre Reviews. Preferably for a used tyre to see this mega durability that I hope really works due the price...

I just put a set of CC2 on our SUV (2018) and like their performance very well. They are built like the old Michelin HydroEdge tire from about 10-15 years ago. I had two Accord EX L V6s that I put HydroEdges on, a ‘99 & 2012. They were an outstanding tire. These new Cross Climate tires are a much quieter tread. They handle exceptionally well on dry pavement and perform in rain, icy slush and snow (3-4 inches) conditions superbly. This set of tires are 235/60 R18. I wish I could get them for my truck.
