I saw them at the Paramount Theater in Oakland for the "Who Else" tour. Then at the Warfield Theater in S.F. on the "You Had It Coming" tour- like here (!) Definitely one of a kind, Jennifer and the bass are so good, and the drummer is unreal, so powerful. I'll always treasure those shows. Up in the balcony. It doesn't get any better. Cheers 🍻 Jeff Beck forever 🕉
There is a video I just saw with Jennifer, Rhonda, Narada Michael Walden being interviewed, it's so good. He asks for final words from each of them and Jennifer said she had to pass............. to emotional. 🌧
Seen him about 6 times since 1989 - Guitar shop onwards. Never knew what to expect. Creativeness from album to album and how he pulled off translating studio to live - Amazing! Guitar Maste! Fantastically adaptive to multiple musical settings & fellow musicians. Never resting on his laurels pushing boundaries, exploring new grounds. Thank you for this video & letting the Jeff Beck experience live on.
Even though this video is not pro-shot the sound quality is amazing! If I wanted to demonstrate to anyone why Jeff Beck is one of the greatest electric guitarists ever I would show them this concert.
What an amazing performance from one of his best lineups. I loved it when Jennifer Batten was part of his group. Andy Gangadeen was also an awesome drummer.
@@jenniferbatten5731 hey Jennifer! I noticed Jeff played loose cannon on the last tour and he did an admirable job with just one guitar, but he really needed you on that number to make it sound just right.
@@jenniferbatten5731bsolute beautiful monster on that six string you are...Jeff always my favorite since Blow by Blow when I was 15 in 75!...your time with him 99-2001 my favorite period ever, love everything you've done....so glad these are out there to enjoy forever... Thanks for being your amazing beautiful amazing guitar player self, and for being Jeff's best creative period for me 🖤 Never stop playing guitar hero! Much love to you, all the best ❤
Wonderful to hear a live version of Rice Pudding into Right Off at 45:55. Rice Pudding is one I think would have sounded good in recent years. Great to hear it here along with the Miles Davis/Jack Johnson/Sly riff Right Off. Glad to hear this. Thanks.
Saw this same line up a month later in Berlin, Germany. Went back stage, and met Beck. He was very nice, and gave me one of his picks. I knew he never used a pick, but it was a nice memory of the concert, and I still have it today. :) Thanks for posting this video. There´s audio of the concert I was at in Berlin, but no video.
This is actually about 10 years ago. i have never seen this or heard this before, and it is shattering!! I love hearing Jennifer Batten with Jeff Beck together- Absolutely spot on!! This music is very different and like symphonic music being created as they proceed. Cynthia Allen McLaglen
Both insecure about their skills compared to each other. The door to that room was never open to anyone else but them. Not Lennon, Not McCartney, not Mick, not Keith, not Eric, not Jimmy. Not Duane. Not even, (Gulp) Stevie Ray....(shots fired!) Ha ha! They are both at the top of the tables. B and O, Onkyo, MacIntosh and Klipsch
Mostly just "It was not" over an' over. At the end, it's "It was not 'cos he wasn't gonna unh! Ain't that just a drag?" What it might MEAN is a whole nother thing, lol...
Jennifer F Batten! These shows with Jeff and Jennifer will never be topped!
Does it get any better?? Not for me, ever! 🖤

And what a brilliant encore! The best in every way… sound, vision, energy and humorous 😆…. that end part with the guitar …. and Jeff’s comment ❤️

35:07 A 20 year old question answered!!! He DID use the clean channel on his amp for this tour, and he just had Randy (bass) hit the switch for him.
Jeff Beck has perfect pitch, perfect time, incomparable technique, impeccable taste....now if only he would learn to play with his teeth...
😂….. good joke back then ❤❤
Play with his teeth! I hope not! lol😂
RIP Jeff
