I really like this, man - except for the cowbells (which I have never heard sounding good in any song). Don't know what it is but the sound of a cowbell is the musical equivalent of the word "cheapo". Anyways, it's still a great track. And I love the chords, very nostalgic.
Personally I loved the cowbells in Madonna's "Express Yourself" on the intro when she says the part "C'mon girls, do you believe in love ? 'cos I've got something to say about it and it goes something like this". :) ua-cam.com/video/GsVcUzP_O_8/v-deo.html

@@KulibobCZ Both Blinding Lights and this song on the video are not remotely close to synthpop or synthwave, both would be considered popwave which derived from synthwave but uses modern sounds from 2010s pop. Same with Synthwave, I'd highly reccomend you listen to Mitch Murders song Prime Operator, that's what pure synthwave sounds like from when it was just starting out.
Hey Vories. Make a video on. How you started making music. How taught u ? Who is your inspiration? Your upcoming plans? And message for beginners like me to build a career in music industry
That’s the only problem I have with this video tbh. It took the idea of a synthwave track but made it way more modern and poppy. Thus not really making it a synthwave track.
I need this type of music to be revived, that would be AMAZING!!! Also, I love the fact that there are Alone Pt. II samples in this track that end up going along with it. This is just outstanding.
Hey. Just wanted to say that this is more likely considered as Outrun than Synthwave. Synthwave is chill with bpm ranging from 60-90. Outrun is like Eurobeat - fast paced and lively (120+ bpm) I made a lot of synthwave before. Here's my awarded by DJtechs track I made a while ago. ua-cam.com/video/QtPD_vXzDPg/v-deo.html Edit: I know that you did the track in 88 bpm but the drums and arps are making it feel twice as fast. I do not want to hate though. I love the final product.
alexwestconsulting right. The genre is called “80s Synthwave”. Because Synthwave was created in the 21st century to emphasis synth-dominant music from the 70s-90s. 80s is the specificity of subgenre. Nice try though.
I've been watching these kind of tutorials for weeks but this is the most entertaining, inspiring and funny I've ever seen so far! Very good job man!!!!
I think it's just the way she sings or whatever effects are used on them but the vocals sound very modern. The little production tricks are very helpful though!
You took the general concept of 80's synthwave pop music and added elements of today's music such as 'drops', which there weren't any back in the 1980's. But, it still sounds like modern music of today with an 80's homage. I would know, I grew up in the 1980's. Example: Phil Collins, 80's megastar, made a song called "Two Hearts" back in the 80's but it was inspired by the 60's music of Motown era that he grew up listening to when he was a kid. Yet, I'm 100% sure that those that grew up in the 60's wouldn't call it 60's music of their day. A great homage non the less but, still not the same. Growing up in the 80's and listening to the radio, because we didn't have Pandora, the Internet and barely any MTV (you had to be rich to have cable television in the early 80's) many of the musician's on the radio tried imitating music from the 50's and 60's. Every era does this, they look back for inspiration so they can move forward. By the way, I love your track. It was awesome!
I love the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. My wish is that they all get brought back this decade. However, I do think that the 80’s was probably the most creative and most prominent era of music in history.
Synthwave is actually how 80s people imagine the music of the future. But it's actually how we imagine the people of the 80s imagined the music of the future.
6:41
Actually modern pop music is like as they imagined.
And the average preadolescent pimple can only guess how the 80's must have been like.
But because we hear this retro future music today, and because today is the future of the past, they were right: it is the music of the future.
Flufflet epic comment!
