@@diamond_dude1063 I'd like to say the Ben10 is so underrated my old school nobody watched Ben10 they just watched Dragon Ball, DC, Marvel, Pokemon and shit
One thing I love about Omniverse is how welcoming Ben is to aliens, and how the show depicts so much aliens as just people living their lives. Like, in Omniverse you totally would get Technorg as a recurring character who likes hanging out with Ben. Ben's best friend in that show is an alien.
Omniverse did significantly better on the world building. If we could change history I'd love to see the world where they keep the franchise more consistent and care more about the world building like Omniverse had.
Fun fact: the walking mushrooms are one of the only unnamed species from the classic series. They also share Wildvine's home planet, which may have something to do with unlocking him? One of the aliens from the character designers' Go Fund Me last year was Funguy who is a member of this species, his only described power is he emits laughing spores from his arms, which makes his name even more fitting.
@Siboniso Buthelezi true. They could be related however, as there are many different types of mushroom, so there could be many different types of the species?
I honestly thought that the reason the Omnitrix turned Ben into Wildvine is yes, because of the fungi king but for a different reason like, it turned Ben into Wildvine to help UNDERSTAND the fungi king! Maybe to converse with it and resolve the situation peacefully? Evident that that wasn't gonna work out. I like this theory because it caters to the "I created the Omnitrix so that all species can understand one another" idea. Also another "observation" I made. I think Kevin's goo is flammable is because it's like a compound. It's missing a vital compound to make it non-flammable. Like Ben said, each of Kevin's powers is 1/10th of Ben's which explains why it couldn't even hold Ben for more than 10 seconds but original stinkfly's goo stopped Vilgax for a good amount of time
To be fair Ben has sludge puppy relatives and an anadite grandmother. Even if you don’t have the “gift” I’m sure some strength would be passed down. I don’t know how to explain grandpa max being super human though.
5:18 I always figured this was what the Grey Matter "perk" was; The increased intelligence from that alien having enabled him to adapt to his new, very different body so much in such little time. Ben says that each specific alien's powers that Kevin's using is individually weaker than the same from Ben's pure aliens as basically a trade-off for having all of them at once, so it'd make sense that the intelligence boost would be significantly less pronounced in Kevin's case, and getting used to his crazy mutated alien hybrid body with 5 extra limbs, flight, pyrokinesis, and ghost powers, that ain't easy without some high spec mental ability.
That'd take quite a bit of research and calculation. First of all, gas prices rise and fall fairly often (currently we're on a rise cause of that stupid pipeline incident), so you can't just check your 2021 local gas station price and slap it in the equation, you would have to go back to the years Ben 10 was made (the 2000s). Second, every state has different average prices on gas (probably because of difference in taxes) and as gas station companies are always in competition with one another, each station has different prices to compete with other local stations.
Now I always rationalized Max’s character regression in “Ultimate Weapon” was the result of him falling back into the headspace of when he was originally on this case. He used to be surrounded by people who knew the same things he did and how grave that sword would be, so mentally he was no longer on a road trip with his grandkids, but back in his plumber days with a team. However he was much more oblivious than I remembered so I think if anything they played that mentality up way too much.
Grudge match is honestly my favorite episode of this season, love the Diamond Head fight at the start and one liners there. Then seeing Ben teach Kevin about his powers was amazing, and what we could have seen if Kevin decided to join the team in his first episode. Finally, then with the cannon ball fight *chef kiss*
You have GOTTA do a good tier max counter, like every time he “activates god mode” aka dodging lasers jumping around and other crazy stuff that you wouldn’t an old man to do.
I forgot Vulkanus appeared in the original series. I only really remember him from that Taydenite episode in Alien Force. I like how Technorg is the same species as Vulkanus. Seeing "prominent" characters share a species always feels nice.
I was always curious at how kevin never had the intelligence of greymatter but with how kevin's powers are 1/10 of ben's, even if greymatter had an IQ of like 1000 kevin would still have only average intelligence. Pretty funny
Would have been fun to see Ben fighting more gods (other than celestial sapiens) like the greek or the ones that guarded the sword and see where the aliens stack up. Kind of like a technology vs magic type thing or divine.
Maybe his Grey Matter intelligence allows him to control all the powers His Ghost Freak power allows him to be light enough to fly Maybe he used his Wildmut power to track them down before the episode started
My theory with Kevin 11’s grey matter parts is that it’s what keeps him sane. According to the Kevin lore (at least the Osmosian, not sure about the mutant version) it says the more they absorb the more unstable they become. I think grey matter’s mental strength is what kept the little boy in the body of 10 aliens painfully merged together cohesive enough to still be himself.
Keep in mind that, even if they were old man, the Omnitrix always picks prime examples of that species. Just like there are plenty of humans that can be very fit on old age (like Max himself), then it's not too farfetched to think that plenty, if not most of Max's aliens would still be very capable.
I've never understood why Ben and Gwen dislike each other so much. Before the road trip, they barely interacted and they don't even go to the same school.
@@nokizzey5985 he's saying, that before the road trip, Ben and Gwen hardly / never talked. Hes saying it's crazy that family that didn't even talk to eachother have a deep hatred for eachother since the roadtrip started. He's not talking about the last episode, he's talking about the road trip.
Well wouldn't that have been something. Shame that the writers there didn't consider it, but in-universe, I tossed it as they being occupied with the HighBreed invasion on other planets. I mean, him doing a lifeform scan on planets for the best fighters makes sense for why they got picked up, because not only is Kevin a freakish monstrosity, but each of Ben's Aliens are noted to be the peak condition of their species, the absolute best of the best while remaining still the same species
And even without the "best of the best" part, Diamondhead is a Petrosapian, a species brought down to only two specimen: Tetrax and Ben. So it makes sense for why he was picked.
I thought , his aliens were from species with abilities that can be actually considered a super powered Take bats , they have echo location which can be usefull for humans . But thats not enough to be a combat suited species . Most ben 10 aliens are like super heroes . They are strong and durable . Some can fly even though its not their primary power .
@@uvindukulathunga3860Nah, any sentient species can be in the omnitrix. The only reason Ben has all the super-powered ones is for the plot. You could argue that most of the planets are dangerous enough to warrant all the aliens being super-powered, though.

Ben needs to get a restraining order on Tiny, or Max needs to get one for him EDIT: Now that I think about it, maybe that's actually why we barely ever see them again
I think she and that psychic enforcer got together at the end, hence why she said, "I found a new partner." That being said, the idea of Max and/or Ben getting a restraining order is hilarious.
Wouldn't Tiny be able to tell if a member of her own species is young? Ben turns into that species equivalent of a 10-11 year old so wouldn't Tiny notice that? I guess it wouldn't matter if Tetramands don't have any morals against that but I doubt the writers would ever make that a thing in any way.

I think Stinkfly has different variations of his acid, kinda like how spiders have 13 different variations of their silk that comes from the spinaret, each made in its own chamber. Stinkfly may have something similar for producing his varying acids.
I think Ben didn't have access to a water transformation so that is why stinkflys slime can explode, be sticky, be slimy, be electric conductive and put out fires. Original 21 Aliens all had other powers. Wildvine camouflage, bombs and tunneling. Four arms sound, earth and Super strength(and fire resistance). Upgrades Lazer and short teleport. Even heatblasts short teleport(the building on fire he teleports 2 humans without burning) Where ultimate there's chromastone one power, lone Star more like LAME.
Thinking about Frankenstrike. HiS has superintelegence, electric powers, tech control and strength. I mean who cares about benwolf or upgrade or grey matter or even fourarms. That's the alien.

I think the reason is it's the exact next episode and we are not shown if his wrecking ball arm is just a cover over an arm and we assume it's just a suit thing for both (e.g. the spikes and cover and for technorg the wrecking ball has his hand inside).
I wanna say that when Ben returned and it seemed like only a small amount of time passed- well the reason is probably because the ship was rapidly moving away from earth the entire time and space time is known to be wonky when these distances are traveled. I'm not exactly sure how it works but it is just a decent excuse as to why they didn't have to change scenes on earth.
That moving texture on the crowd was a lot like what they did in Citizen Kane, where, for the famous tracking shot of the crowd, they had a matte painting, but, to add in motion, they moved a piece of paper underneath slits they made in the painting. Just thought it was a neat detatil
I think the reason Wildvine was unlocked is a point towards Omnitrix having some form of sentience as it knew Ben couldn’t handle the situation with his arsenal so it gave him a new tool.
Oh man, when I did my watchthrough, I was so excited that Tom Kane was using his grandiose Star Wars Narrator voice. I was not pleased when Jeff Bennett replaced him
If I had to guess, Stinkfly's goop can swap between being flammable or not. He has 4 bits to shoot out of after all. I think it works like this: He can make a sticky but non-flammable version. That when shot at flames snuffs the oxygen and puts out the fire. But when shooting the 2nd varient, it can catch fire. Or maybe if gets set on fire *after* being shot out it's flammable but because it was shooting smaller active flames it easily removed the oxygen
Considering how consistently inconsistent they make Canonbolt's size I just head-canon that Canonbolt can alter his size within a certain range especially in ball form. Either he curls up more tightly making him denser for harded hits or he has a far less pronounced version of Humungaour's size ability.
I think if they were going to do this kind of story with Max, it should have been over something more genuinely world-shattering, like the Annihalargh or something of a similar scale.
66 Is usually some frail opponent for Ben which is just more of a irritation than a threat, but in this episode all his tricks with his suit which we never see again made him OP. I would've liked to see this version of him more.
20:48 The Galvans wrote the laws for the galaxy. It's mentioned when Vilgax becomes the conqueror of 10 worlds in Alien Force. Though I find it shady that they made it legal to conquer planets as long as you defeat their strongest champion, clearly the Galvans shouldn't be trusted if they wrote that into law.
Actually it's pretty smart I mean if the made it illegal to conquer planets it wouldn't be taken seriously because war is pretty much inevitable due to many reasons this way however would minimise the violence at the very least.
We totally learn more about the Mycelium. In Secrets of the Omnitrix, planet Zenon (or Xenon) where Asmath is hanging out, the planet is covered in mushrooms that were clearly an invasive species since there's buildings and tech left behind. This also gives us the reason behind Wildvine's appearance. This alien Mycelium must be interconnected with Wildvine DNA, given that Wildvines (rather savage and animalistic Wildvines) live on the planet and capture Gwen, to the extent that Ben even thought she was dead. My theory is that those Walking mushrooms are just the early stages of the Mycelium takeover on Earth, sort of a fodder force to keep surface beings busy until the spores can be released into the atmosphere, whereupon the planet can be seeded and perhaps these spore could even leave the planet outright either in this release or in future stages wherein the cycle repeats until the planet is covered. Wildvines may be one of the later stages of this fungal takeover. No longer needing a mere distraction force and instead evolving actual warriors to defend the primary Mycelium. Which is maybe what the Omnitrix was able to scan from the DNA of the fungus around Ben, this warrior form, or rather just the adolescent form, given that Ben's transformations are also tied to his own human maturity. There are of course holes in this theory, given that the wiki's list Wildvine's species and home planet on Flors Verdance. Not to mention Omniverse characters. But I thought my explanation could have some merit in the Flourana evolution anyway.
Glad Grudge Match got a 24/25 ngl, definitely one of my favourite episodes also I love these breakdowns in general, can't wait to see what I missed in Secrets of the omnitrix (It will be reviewed, right?)
I found it interesting how ealry Ben 10 had secret alien society and people who either want to gain control of it like the knights or such more so than the later series as it became more open to people and less mysterious making everything alien tech rather than true magic. But yeah the ealry story was adding a lot but I feel it's fine as like the ocean even Ben 19 would probably never get to all aliens as vast as the starts.
I was so confused about how Kevin came back, I always thought that I missed an episode or something, for there is nothing about how it looked like he died last time and no explanation of how he found them or anything like it

The best part of the classic series is all the new aliens introduced throughout. Cannonbolt, Wildvine, WayBig, Ditto, EyeGuy, Buzzshock, Upchuck, the setup is just great. The Alien Force and Ultimate Alien era of Ben 10 is my favorite in the series.
It's crazy how the episode implies that the whole thing with them looking for the sword lasted 2 days at most. But if the sword is a Mayan artifact, the temple should've been located somewhere South of Mexico, maybe near the mexican peninsula. Do you have any idea how far that is? It should've taken them about a week or more to cover that distance in the rust bucket.
I just realized they retconned Vulcanus’ true form. He looks like a buff guy underneath his suit in the classic series, but he’s actually a dwarf in UAF
36:15 I mean those mushroom things clearly required sentience to operate while the spores seem like an automatic thing, like how you don’t need to think for your heart to beat, how some trees and other plants will release seeds even after having been killed in a fire, or how people with ms still have functional reproductive organs.

One thing I love about Omniverse is how welcoming Ben is to aliens, and how the show depicts so much aliens as just people living their lives. Like, in Omniverse you totally would get Technorg as a recurring character who likes hanging out with Ben. Ben's best friend in that show is an alien.
Don't forget him threatening forever nights for hunting innocent aliens including piers in ultimate alien.

And he's actually open to eating some alien food sometimes in that one.
Like Ben said, each of Kevin's powers is 1/10th of Ben's which explains why it couldn't even hold Ben for more than 10 seconds but original stinkfly's goo stopped Vilgax for a good amount of time
But if the original stinkfly's goo isn't flammable, how did Ben manage to teach Kevin that explosive goo trick?

Kuro at the end of the series should calculate how much money has grandpa max spent on fuel.
He did not do that
@@thatonedude1103 I know quite sad

I wanna say that when Ben returned and it seemed like only a small amount of time passed- well the reason is probably because the ship was rapidly moving away from earth the entire time and space time is known to be wonky when these distances are traveled. If I had to guess, Stinkfly's goop can swap between being flammable or not. He has 4 bits to shoot out of after all. I think it works like this:
He can make a sticky but non-flammable version. That when shot at flames snuffs the oxygen and puts out the fire.

Edit: And just realized that they could have a couple gags of him being poorly adapted to life on Earth, like mistaking harmless things for a threat to his master
7:26 I still think the omnitrix gives him the alien he need for the situation even if wants a different one he doesn’t always know the best alien for the situation
