Great video! I have decided for lack of groomers that have groomed Irish setters before, I’ll do it at home. How happy are you with the Chris Christensen Adalynn Rose, considering the price tag and the fact they are +-70€ more than the geib or kenchii ones? Would you buy them again?
Hello Katerina! I’m really happy with the CC rose ✂️ I’ve had them for over 5 years. Beside them I have tried some from jaguar, they are also good! But I prefer the CC on how they fit my hands 😄 Will one of them broke, I would 100% buy a new one 🙏 Thank you for commenting!
Hi! These videos are super helpful. I'm learning how to groom my 11 month old setter puppy because no one on planet earth seems to know how to groom them. Every groomer I take her to they tell me that they know what they're doing and they clearly don't. Any advice on training them to be comfortable with grooming? I don't show her but I would like to (she currently is recovering from a small histiocytoma on her face) and I know she needs more behavioral training I've trained a lot of dogs and never struggled like I have with the setter personality. Also, when does their bigger coat come in? I feel like her puppy coat just WON'T grow but I know it takes a while. Thanks!!
Hello Katie! Thank you for watching my videos. I’m not a pro groomer and I just self trained. But the thing I do know is how they should look like at shows 😄🙏 I start early on the table with the pups and reward them with a lot of candy, after a while they adapt and don’t see the table dangerous anymore 😄 And the puppy coat: I feel like all dogs are different 🤣 some loose it fast and other like my khaleesi is 2 and still have some 😳😅
@@jjustlike Thank you!! I'm hoping I can start doing her grooming myself with more practice. I noticed she doesn't like the slicker brush -- it's so interesting the preferences of different dogs! Keep it up
Thank you Katie! The trimmer is a from the thrift store actually :P soo its not a fancy brand :D But i love CC ( Chris Christensen ) i have my siccors from there, i recomend them alot
Close to perfect.... leave the ends of the ears sharp and on the neck, use a blade just a little bit longer so there is still hair.... overall, I give you a 10 for effort and appreciate you sharing. Nails and Paws next please and make sure to explain how important it is to make sure not to cut nails too short or they bleed and hurt our Irish redheads....
Thank you 😊 i have a 12mm blade, so she still have 1,2cm of hair left 😊 and I don’t like it sharp on the ears that’s why I only cut them this way 😄 I will do paws also, but that’s my weak spot haha..

What is the different result when trimming down vs trimming up? Is one closer than the other?

In my case, it’s easier to do upward with the machine so get close and an even results 😄
