Specialists, have completely negated any last ounce of teamwork left. Now people can run around with their favorite sniper camp across the map and shoot down Jets at the same time.
I mean... I can make a trailer like this too, if I got to work with them. But any video-maker with some years of experience can (the world of videogames is a great canvas). Problem is when the trailers don't reflect near reality, it becomes apparent later on... and you get disappointments.

Not everyone will receive this email. & personally I think people need to wait for the whole game to release before judging the game so harshly, we only had a quarter of what the game will eventually offer, yet everyone’s basing their opinions of one map and game mode in a beta with no proper UI features with less guns and attachments and no player customisation not to mention no Hazard Zone or Portal.

Yes and…..? Have you actually played the game with a thinking mind? The map is poorly designed, most players are scattered and aimlessly running around, making the game feel even smaller and emptier than previous titles.

@@Assassin199410 Eh, it's a main mode but it's still basically just custom games, and because it has a varying amount of different aspects you can change, it'll also lead to the players across it being more spread out so you can very easily not find enough people playing with the rules you might want as you would if they just had a set of rules. And that's not even taking into account of Battlefield servers that just always have terrible admins who ban things that they just don't like getting beat by. Plus, I was always paying $60 for the MP and Campaign in Battlefield games. While teh campaigns were usually just hit or miss, I was still paying for that, now I'm only paying for just the MP and I'm supposed to pay the same amount? Nuh uh, game should've been at least only $50

I would like to still see the open customization, but having those specialists' gadgets being locked to a specific class, like the syringe to maybe a Medic class or the drone to Recon.
Classes are the backbone in battlefield. It's what encourages teamwork and helps create that immersive feeling of being on the battlefield as a team, against another team. We all witnessed what happened in the beta, it was every McCay for himself. No teamwork what so ever. The specialists would actually make sense in this game mode, but not in the main conquest mode.
Yh you're right because for the past 10+years we've seen rando medics and supports dishing out ammo and health on request. Imo it doesn't matter what you do, bf random's don't tend to PTFO. BF is best served with friends.
If you think about the No-pats are a perfect representation to DICE and EA. No-pats are pretty much mercenaries that will fight for money, just as EA and DICE are willing to sell out core features of a game and not care about community for MONEY. (skins for specialists)
Reading the comments all I see is: "make specialists a hazard zone only thing, bring back classes to Multiplayer." Dice developers, this is your chance. Give management the middle finger and make Battlefield 2042 what it deserves to be, not what some managers think it should be. Your players tell you what they want, you just need to grab it.

Lol exactly my idea. After seeing the beta and how much it doesn't work i was puzzled how could they not see it. And then they announced this and it was obvious that the old good original battlefield experience was just an afterthought in this game.
Well, you can play any of the unique specialists any time you want, and each one has their own equipment, each with its own benefits that could fit an important role in the te-OR YOU CAN HAVE A MOTHERFUCKING GRAPPLING HOOK, SNIPER AND RPG ALL IN ONE.
This mode isn’t a battle royale. It’s an objective based game where you complete tasks with your squad while fighting AI and other squads. You build a loadout to bring with you and if you die you lose whatever gear you brought in Edit: Yes, like Escape from Tarkov. There are even scavs and insurance.
Don’t negotiate with terrorist brother. If they won’t do exactly what we want with the class system then we just won’t buy it. Hurt them where it matters, their pockets
I would love to have the 4 classes back but if they aren’t going to do that then at the very least make them look and sound different for each faction because it’s really weird hearing American voices fighting for the Russians
You shouldnt have to rely on having friends to play with for engaging squad play.... as proven by older BFs, Deep Rock Galactic, Insurgency Sandstorm and the list goes on....
Dice seriously need to change or address the concerns with specialists. It's the number 1 complaint at this point. I'm seeing people say it'd be good for hazard zone and id agree personally.
I think the specialists were designed for hazard zone and they were just too lazy to make cosmetics for all out war and this so they just plopped them in the main game.
EA, the reason this game mode fail isn't because of gameplay but a lack of things to do. Hazard Zone should've been a stand alone game thats free to play.

The beta was three months out of date when it went public. Really, none of us has any idea how the game is going to run. We'll have to find out when it comes out. You could be right for all I know. But, what I do know is going in with a pessimistic mindset will only end in tears. Best to give the game a chance but be on the fence

The problem with Specialists is, in other BFs, if you saw a Medic, you knew you could get health or get revived. If you saw a Support, you knew you could get ammo. Now, you cannot know if the "Medic" next to you will be able to give you health or the "Support" ammo since now it depends entirely on the players' gadgets selection. Wanna keep the Specialists? Fine. But keep them locked in their respective classes with their respective well-known gadget.
They wont. I was hoping for a good battlefield, but this beta was absolutly trash. Hooks for climbing, Medic here, and the time to reanimate someone is way too long. I dont know, they should just bring back bf3/4, thats the way a battlefield game should be. No buy here.

For those who are wondering It isn't going to be a Battle Royale, since the devs already confirmed that fact Edit: game mode's looking pretty cool, I can't wait to try it out
The game still has a pretty sizable playerbase with each new season, but hazard zone was severely undercooked. It can be incredibly fun at times, but with zero incentive to play it and no rewards or additional content it died very quickly, but the rest of the game still has a healthy playerbase thanks to the reworking of existing content like maps and and all the brand new seasonal content that's all great.
I think we should start being a bit more positive lol. EA is clearly teasing Battlefront 3 by making this game the Clone Wars. So even if it sucks, we got something to look forward to.

To be honest, its really simple, just make Specialists grouped and locked to certain categories and make sure gadgets are locked to classes, e.g. defib and healing only medic specialists, and launchers only support specialists etc.
They can’t kiddo, it’s like concrete surrounded by steel and titanium. It’s too deep in the game to change they would have to restart the game and it would be another 2 years. So either deal with it or dnt buy the game those are ur options
the hunt shadow game did something similar, bunch of pairs of players trying to kill the same objective and extract, you couldn't even trust you teammate, muuuch better than battle royal, there is a clearer objective andit allows for ambushes and tactical gameplay, hope to try this mode on BF2042

Dice is usually pretty receptive to the feedback of fans so I really hope they take the massive criticism against specialists and change it. Someone mentioned specialists should just be in Hazard Zone with regular classes in the base game and I think that's a wonderful idea.
You talking about specialists? Why? Pretty much every BF game has had different classes. Assault, medic, engineer, and scout. So far the specialists are basically that but without limiting you to what weapons/ gadgets you can use, as they have in the past

I canceled mine too. It's a superhero shooter now, where every player (specialist) looks exactly the same. McCay is like spiderman, grappling from one place to another constantly. Grappling on to a small drone that you can keep in your backpack, and then getting yourself airborne? Come on..... This isn't battlefield any more..
Now, specialists would have worked perfectly if they were exclusive to this mode and not in the base modes. Bring👏back👏classes👏 Edit: Hazard Zone could be an amazing way to tell the game’s narrative, with in-game events for pushing the story forward and since it focuses on the No-Pats they can add lore stuff to it and *show* us the story as it unfolds each season by introducing new tidbits. Overall it’s a mode with great potential and definitely a refresher from BR games. I prefer the more spreadout modes where combat with other squads is entirely optional, if you play it right and avoid them while still completing the objective. Instead of hunting down other players you and your team can try to avoid detection, get the disk, and get the hell to extraction.
I had a bug during the beta where there were a bunch of regular classes to choose from to the right of the specialists. I wish I had taken a screenshot because I thought they had added a small update to the beta. The game froze, and when I restarted, the classes were gone. I'm thinking that they're either going to add in standard classes along with the specialist, or it's just more specialists that are a work in progress.

im sold on this, but if hazard zone is truly this good, then specialists should be exclusively playable in hazard zone and main multiplayer all out war should have class based rank and file grunts.
@@jesterdewit478 specialists are not necessary to make the game feel like an entirely new experience. there is already the plus system, bots, new vehicles, support drops, new equipment, larger maps, new events, and a larger player count. all would have made the game significantly different than previous titles already even with the original class system.
Its basically BR sort of but with objective. Hell even firestorm was better they added conquest type, front lines objectives to be taken during the battle royale.

All BRs consist of players(usually 100) dropping into a huge map and collecting gear and guns to kill off enemy players until you are the last person/squad in the game. Plus there is a border or "storm" that brings in the players closer together. In Hazard Zone you can bring in gear, squad upgrades, there is no border closing players in, you are not flying into a huge map trying to kill the other squads, it is to get the hard drives/objectives presented to you, and you can keep the loot you got from that match of Hazard Zone and use it next match. You don't even have to kill all the squads, you just have to do objectives, it is that simple. So tell me, where in this information, is it any related to a BR?

Yep I feel like they're trying to test specialists for their purpose then after the success... They'll bring back the normal soldiers back... Honestly, I like the specialist system but I feel them why they don't like it. For me, it would be cool to see them in different attire plus the normal soldiers and all of that. It makes it an interesting battlefield sort of thing.

Classes are the backbone in battlefield. It's what encourages teamwork and helps create that immersive feeling of being on the battlefield as a team, against another team. We all witnessed what happened in the beta, it was every McCay for himself. No teamwork what so ever. The specialists would actually make sense in this game mode, but not in the main conquest mode.

If you think about the No-pats are a perfect representation to DICE and EA. No-pats are pretty much mercenaries that will fight for money, just as EA and DICE are willing to sell out core features of a game and not care about community for MONEY. (skins for specialists)

This mode isn’t a battle royale. It’s an objective based game where you complete tasks with your squad while fighting AI and other squads. You build a loadout to bring with you and if you die you lose whatever gear you brought in

You shouldnt have to rely on having friends to play with for engaging squad play.... as proven by older BFs, Deep Rock Galactic, Insurgency Sandstorm and the list goes on....

Please add classes and factions back! Classes can be incorporated with the specialists system really well.
The problem with Specialists is, in other BFs, if you saw a Medic, you knew you could get health or get revived. If you saw a Support, you knew you could get ammo.
Now, you cannot know if the "Medic" next to you will be able to give you health or the "Support" ammo since now it depends entirely on the players' gadgets selection.
Wanna keep the Specialists? Fine. But keep them locked in their respective classes with their respective well-known gadget.

Man if only the game didn’t flop this mode is actually pretty fun
The game still has a pretty sizable playerbase with each new season, but hazard zone was severely undercooked. It can be incredibly fun at times, but with zero incentive to play it and no rewards or additional content it died very quickly, but the rest of the game still has a healthy playerbase thanks to the reworking of existing content like maps and and all the brand new seasonal content that's all great.
Manifest, Breakaway and Discarded are looking so good, I love the icey verticality of Breakaway

To be honest, its really simple, just make Specialists grouped and locked to certain categories and make sure gadgets are locked to classes, e.g. defib and healing only medic specialists, and launchers only support specialists etc.

Dice is usually pretty receptive to the feedback of fans so I really hope they take the massive criticism against specialists and change it. Someone mentioned specialists should just be in Hazard Zone with regular classes in the base game and I think that's a wonderful idea.

I canceled mine too. It's a superhero shooter now, where every player (specialist) looks exactly the same. McCay is like spiderman, grappling from one place to another constantly.

Edit: Hazard Zone could be an amazing way to tell the game’s narrative, with in-game events for pushing the story forward and since it focuses on the No-Pats they can add lore stuff to it and *show* us the story as it unfolds each season by introducing new tidbits.
Overall it’s a mode with great potential and definitely a refresher from BR games. I prefer the more spreadout modes where combat with other squads is entirely optional, if you play it right and avoid them while still completing the objective. Instead of hunting down other players you and your team can try to avoid detection, get the disk, and get the hell to extraction.

I had a bug during the beta where there were a bunch of regular classes to choose from to the right of the specialists. I wish I had taken a screenshot because I thought they had added a small update to the beta. The game froze, and when I restarted, the classes were gone. I'm thinking that they're either going to add in standard classes along with the specialist, or it's just more specialists that are a work in progress.

there is already the plus system, bots, new vehicles, support drops, new equipment, larger maps, new events, and a larger player count. all would have made the game significantly different than previous titles already even with the original class system.
the maps look outstanding, flying above them will be legendary.

Its basically BR sort of but with objective. Hell even firestorm was better they added conquest type, front lines objectives to be taken during the battle royale.

All BRs consist of players(usually 100) dropping into a huge map and collecting gear and guns to kill off enemy players until you are the last person/squad in the game. Plus there is a border or "storm" that brings in the players closer together. In Hazard Zone you can bring in gear, squad upgrades, there is no border closing players in, you are not flying into a huge map trying to kill the other squads, it is to get the hard drives/objectives presented to you, and you can keep the loot you got from that match of Hazard Zone and use it next match. You don't even have to kill all the squads, you just have to do objectives, it is that simple. So tell me, where in this information, is it any related to a BR?

Yep I feel like they're trying to test specialists for their purpose then after the success... They'll bring back the normal soldiers back...
Honestly, I like the specialist system but I feel them why they don't like it. For me, it would be cool to see them in different attire plus the normal soldiers and all of that. It makes it an interesting battlefield sort of thing.
I would actually like Hazard Zone if you can play a normal fresh soldier only. It feels unique.

@@KaiserReb class roles are good, weapon locks not so much. I want to be able to know that someone has ammo or meds or can revive me or will repair my vehicle. With specialists, I don’t get that information.
