Toastrack Donation and a 16k Sinclair ZX Spectrum Donation

- Andy and Richard very kindly contacted me and offered to send these wonderful old Spectrum's for my collection.
The 16k Sinclair ZX Spectrum has been missing from my collection which is strange as its the one I actually started with back in 1982! And this one is a beauty!
I have not been looking to add a Spectrum 128k "Toastrack" to my collection as the prices are frankly absurd and I just couldn't afford to even start looking at owning one. Well Richard changed all that for me! And this one has a great story having been used to access and print medical records in a doctors surgery in 1986! Amazing!

Both ends of the Spectrum there. I love that you tested the toastrack with with Jetpac. It's always my go to for testing, fun game and quick to load.

My first spectrum was an issue 2 16k.
I took a punt on one from Facebook marketplace dec 22. Turned out to be a 16k issue 2. Did get an upgrade kit from retroleum and it now is a lovely 48 k :)
Sir Clive was apparently not happy that his machine was used only for games (not that it was used for games but that it was mainly/only used for games), so had he known about what this toastrack was used fore I am sure he would have been happy.
I have too many machines already but every time I watch your channels I want to dig out our Speccy and ZX81 and check them out (change caps, composite mod etc.) and give them a new life. And yes, I am still going to get a Mechtrum with a Harlequin (or should I go for another model?) and the test cartridge, once they are back in stock.
*sigh* I need a bigger house ...
