Uh, given Dami is not spayed yet, I think the reaction of Haru is more biological, even at this young age of Dami... Looks more like he's thinking wifey than friendly imo. Even if he's neutered, the adrenals on top of the kidneys still produce some testosterone... So, who knows... When male cats mount the females, they also bite their necks just like that... And you did notice he's smelling her butt a lot lately?

Yep, you need to be careful because he could and would hurt little Dami.
The weirdest thing I learned about cats is that the male's member has a barb on the end of it, that when put in the female cat forces the release of eggs from the pain. (Forced ovulation)
Human females have it way easier, imo. We don't have barbs, only concealed ovulation so the men can get fooled into impregnating a female he may not want to do at that time.
While this is an issue, it is not a common error. If it was common, it could endanger the specie, so nature normally has a block until "puberty" (not sure when that is in cats).
Ninfam, please consider getting Little Dami looked at & fixed soon. That behavior Big Haru displayed towards her was a mating display, not a playful one. This display from Haru can seriously hurt Dami in the long run whether you realize it or not. I would also suggest correcting this behavior from Haru because of Dami's age. I've seen from observing a local cat colony that females(even fixed ones) developed a hatred towards males that do this & even fight them if the males try to mount them.

Dami is way too young to be spayed and Haru has already been neutered. But, I do agree that Haru needs to be corrected because, lately, he has gotten much too rough with Dami.

If Haru is fixed then the mounting action is him asserting dominance. Female cats do it to other female cats and male cats do it to other male cats. I have seen lionesses do it to each other as well. It’s not always a mating action.

Sorry to burst your bubble but he's trying to mate with her. At 0:04, biting the neck like that is for mating. Plus he's frequently sniffing her rear, which is probably triggering some sexual arousal.

@@SeagreenJasmine You're not bursting any bubble, I didn't say he would get her pregnant. Neutered cats can still try to mate, there are many articles reporting it, posts on Reddit of people witnessing it, and most of all, you can see it with your own eyes at the beginning of this video.
@@dismuter_yt No, that’s not accurate. Neutered cats are not able to mate. And what you’re witnessing in these videos is nothing more than Haru trying to play and playing too rough with a kitten who’s too small to handle it.
@@SeagreenJasmine If you want to contradict me, please be accurate on what you're contradicting me on. I never said that they can mate, I said that they can *try* to. That meant exhibiting behaviors of mating, not actually mating.

I believe Haru has been fixed. Haru is still a young cat and plays like a kitten.
Well, it looks like everybody has switched partners 😲 First, Dami was following Haru around and trying to get his attention, but he kept running away from her and snubbing her because he liked Bami. But Bami, although she seemed to like him, too, was too mistrustful to let him get too close to her. And then, when Dami finally started to turn her attention to Soni, Haru did not like that at all and began to chase Dami-and I even saw him snub Bami for the first time, too. The problem is, though, that Haru is too rough with Dami. I have seen him almost take her whole little head into his mouth and Dami is too small for that-and I think that it scares her, too. And I don’t think that she likes her butt getting sniffed constantly, either, because today she went and hid in the cat hammock to get away from him. Haru would never try any of this stuff with Bami, because she would never allow it, and now it looks like BAMI is the one who has turned her attention to Soni. Regardless, though, Haru needs to be corrected and scolded, because he could easily hurt Dami. I realize that he is probably just playing, but Dami is too young and too small for that kind of rough play.

I am agreeing with some other viewers here. Haru is grabbing Dami by the scruff of the neck and sniffing her back side quite often. Looking suspicious to me. Haru seems to leave Bami more alone? So glad the kitties get along, love your videos and sure you will keep an eye out. 🤔😏

OWNER, PLEASE LISTEN: This is NOT simply 'loving or cuddling' behaviour - I at first thought it was predatory behaviiour, but it's MATING behaviour in cats, even if the kitten hasn't reached breeding age yet!! You need to separate Haru from Dami for another month or two or you're going to shortly have a litter of further kittens to find homes for. You can confirm this by just searching the Internet. Here's what one vet's site advises:
"Cats mate by the male biting the female behind her neck and holding her in position for copulation. If neither is fixed (spayed or neutered), then it is mating behavior. If the male is still intact, again, it may be mating behavior. Biting the female and holding her down is how cats mate."
No worries there, Haru has been neutered 😉 BUT, I do think that Haru has gotten too rough with Dami lately and he needs to be corrected and scolded.
