    First time CVP2022. I have a BFA and many art classes during a BA but I have learned more from you and your coaching team than I ever learned from any other instructor. I passed on all the other pop-up art stuff on FB but for some reason - synchronicity? - I clicked on you and am so glad I did! I love your art but it was your authenticity, humanity, and openness that drew me in. I felt, even online, that I was and do connect with you - the person!

    I just love your boyish generosity. How you are always breaking into a smile, reminding me, like so many others I am sure,
    how much joy there is in playing at art! Inspiring! Totally agree with what Fatima said.

    Ive been working on paper for obmver a year now. Too scared to "wreck" canvas. Well, i just watched this and part one. I was so taken by the moment and the fun shapes, that i busted out my paints and a canvas and felt the joy of playing with shapes and colours i dont particularly love. SO SATISFYING! THANK YOU FOR FREEING ME.

    Is there a next episode of this diptych commission painting? If so, where is it? I'm interested to see how Nicholas resolves this. Thank you.

    felt like I was there, doing the painting! Really enjoyed this- delicious whit, delicious grey, and a master class too, in the edger. Now I have to get one. Even though I have very little room where I live, I want to try some
    larger work. Thank you as always, for how you inspire!

    I really enjoyed watching you paint this!!! I'm just experimenting with abstract so it was so interesting to watch how you put it all together and made such a cool piece of art. (I watched the first pass and this one; is there another one?) Thanks for sharing with us.

    i could watch this for ever,🤩 love your pictures and how you develop them!
    could you eventually show us some close-ups when you „remove“ some of the colour (at 14:45 for example), from the distance i can‘t see much of a difference. thanks!

    I like how un-particular you are - the lines are straight enough and the color is good enough. A great reminder to not become precious about these things too early in the game.

    You mentioned in the first video that the paint is quite thick because you add cold wax, but what are you adding to make the paint drip, extra oil, thinner? Thanks

  • @jenniferstrong7537
    @jenniferstrong7537 3 роки тому +2

    Hi Nicholas
    I was wondering if you painting in oil in such large quantities where do you buy your oil paints in order to make the amounts in your bucket. I also see that the paint is quite thin as compared to oils in a tube. I know you said you use liquid but at what stage ..to be sure it looks like the paint dry pretty quickly in order to run your trowel through it?

    • @Michelle-hg3sv
      @Michelle-hg3sv 3 роки тому

      Yes, I'd really like to know how you're thinning your paint down to that viscosity. I use CWM but it makes my paint thicker, not looser.

    You're are an amazing instructor. I stated following when I started painting, but now I cam appreciate you more😊 . Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion.. it's truly an inspiration. What tool are u using to make the straight lines? I would like to order one since my hand shakes and it's impossible to draw a straight line .

    Your geometric shapes are very foreign to me. I really like your pieces and I'm surprised I do. I paint for me only and find it very difficult to have the kind of straight lines and sharp corners that you do. What inspires or leads you to this style? Btw I really enjoyed watching you and seeing what happened with the white then grey. Such transformation. I, too, hope to see how you continue and of course the final painting. Thank you for allowing such a long time for eavesdropping.
