Pixel 6 here originally planning to upgrade to the 9pro, but I think im just gonna wait for the 10 too. But honestly even with the 10 im not even expecting that much 😂
I think it would be years until Google's tensor chips are competitive with Qualcomm and Apple's best mobile chips. So, if I were you, I would go with the Pixel 9 (barring other factors).
Pixel 6 pro's telephoto lens has a larger sensor size than Pixel 7, 8 as well as 9 pro even the 15 pro max Pixel 6 pro telephoto lens is a 1/2.0" sensor which makes it 30% larger than Pixel 7, 8 and 9 pro (1/2.55") and 50% larger than 15 pro max (1/3.06") To me telephoto lens is a big deal as you are paying premium to get one and it's the most natural way to capture human photos to match the pov of our eyes For this sole reason I'm sticking to Pixel 6 pro hope they add a larger sensor in Pixel 10 series
@@zahikthemuslim But if you use the zoom lens you dont need Portrait Mode because you have natural Bokeh, which is way better than the software Bokeh. I personally never use portrait mode because in my opinion you always see that it is software.
The 9 pro / 9 pro XL is way better in every single thing camera wise compared to the 6 pro, it just is.. main camera, wide camera, selfie camera, telephoto camera, video, everything, the 6 pro just doesn't compete... still a solid camera for today standards tho.
I have the 6 pro and I haven't seen a new Pixel that made me want to switch it out yet. The only issues I have with the 6 Pro are the battery life not lasting me through the day, I do a lot of gaming, and the screen brightness is not nearly enough. Still a solid phone in my opinion and I'll be hanging on to it until either it dies or I see a new Pixel that makes me want to upgrade.
Upgrading from 6a to 9P XL phone should be here tomorrow. I don't upgrade like I used to while working for phone companies. I can't wait to see the difference between a non pro to a pro. Good video thank you.

However, the performance could be better, especially for gaming. For gamers, I’d recommend holding off. But if you mainly use your phone for everyday tasks, it’s a good choice. I do really like it, but I was slightly let down it’s not the giant leap forward I hoped for compared to the Pixel 6a. On the upside, the camera is impressive, especially if you enjoy photography. And the haptics are exceptional-probably the best I’ve felt on a phone. Overall, I’d rate the 9 Pro XL an 8.5 out of 10.

to me the 6 pro looks better probably because thats what i have and dont really caree about the AI stuff. The only thing letting the 6 pro down is its max brightness
I went from the pixel 6 to pixel 8a I kinda regret it the screen was just as bright outside and both has bad battery life. Basically upgraded for no reason it's kind of a downgrade
Good review, I'm on the fence and I probably won't upgrade. I'll wait for the 10. I know the biggest issue for some people is battery on the 6 pro, that doesn't apply to myself. I mainly work from home and whenever I do go out, where I know I'm going to be out for over 8hrs I have a backup battery. The actual pictures itself, the improvement is not enough to justify me going on a payment plan for a phone for a slight improvement....Video Boost is dope, but the amount of data that it takes is crazy...you would either need the 2Tb Google one plan or more internal storage..So if you guys feel justified in upgrading absolutely go for it. If it makes sense for you. I'm highly on the fence and probably will just wait for the 10 pro.
I own a 6 Pro and thought about upgrading at first, but actually I don't have any issued with my smartphone. I feel that you can basically look at all the high end phones which came out the last few years and be fine with them for at least 3 years, probably for most people you don't need the definitely good improvements, as they are not that noticeble in most every day circumstances. Probably I will upgrade next year, as I think that the improvements then will be significant enough. The main issue I have with my 6 Pro is the lack of macro capabitilies, though that might be just me not utilizing the current capabilieties properly. Maybe some of you guys have some tips for me in that regard?

I have the six pro and I have the nine pro XL and I will tell you right off the bat. It's in absolute monster upgrade, especially in battery. It's an upgrade on everything and I would recommend to upgrade from the 6 pro. Absolutely! For anyone that has one do the upgrade. Especially with the six pros connectivity problems which were really never fixed, the nine pro XL has none of these issues

He said I may have a faulty device so I'm going to give it one more shot. I ordered the 9pro this time. Let's see if it was the unit or signature 😂.

But heavy games that can be played on other platforms like COD Genshin Resident Evil Pubg should be played on a PC or console. as for your dumb example about photos, cameras are important and is a basic need on a phone and you should care about that, but heavy gaming on a phone is a want not a need so stick to where they were meant to be played on PC or consoles.
Cal of duty isn't really heavy duty A flagship should be able to play that at 60fps no issues. Pixel phones are great just not gaming for that reason I'm out

I completely agree and have been saying this in comments for years. Playing light games is fine but expecting your smartphone to play intensive games is like buying a Prius and expecting it to drive and speed like a sports car. If you want gaming then buy a console or PC. All you need a phone for is texting, phone calls, light gaming, surfing the web, checking emails, work stuff, and casual photos/videos. I say the same thing about cameras too, people buy smartphones expecting pro level photos but buy a damn Nikon if you want that.
I’m gonna say something that people are going to hate but I don’t care. Snapdragon chipsets are highly overrated. I’ve owned phones with snapdragon chipsets, Apple’s bionic chips, Tensor chips, and also Mediatek Dimensity chips. Believe it or not, both Tensor and Dimensity chips are equally impressive for dally tasks, multitasking, and battery life efficiency. Tensor only doesn’t do well on that last part in some models with battery life. I was shocked that Mediatek Dimensity chips did great for the one phone I owned with one in it.

I'm also over everyone thinking Samsung phones are better when that is absolutely not the case. Samsung's cameras absolutely suck balls. They're unusable and I love Samsung phones except for those darn cameras.

Indeed 6 pro has best telephoto lens but You cannot use it for capturing portrait pics.

If you have a pixel 6, there's no need to upgrade yet. Besides, replacing that camera bar with an island just negates the pixel look.

I only gripe with the 6 series is no face unlock. Other than that it was a solid smartphone
