I just started singing this song, though it has been in my head for a few decades. I listened close, Frank. I listened mighty close. I think you are a singer at heart. "She walks these hills ..." Great tune my friend. I'd love to hear you play Stardust. With the intro. Please.
Frank, I bought the same model Northfield after seeing you play it and the first thing I did was take off the pick guard as you have done. Thanks for playing an old chestnut of a tune. Probably , like you I learned this tune on guitar long ago.
@@FrankDeLorenzoMANDOLIN The same natural color as yours in this video, an NFM-A5. I removed the pick guard because I don't need it and I like to show the whole instrument. Did you buy yours without the pick guard or just remove it as well? The pick guard was black.
Thanks Ken!! DA nickel/bronze 11.5. I've had this set on for almost a year and can't bring my self to change them. No dents, corrosion, or intonation loss. I know there not as bright but damn they sound good! I do have to change them though, I'd just rather play...
Thanks Edgar. I don't right now, I'm too busy. Now if we were neighbors I'd be glad to help. There's lot's of great teachers on YT to get started. And the mandolin is very easy to learn. Good Luck!
You make a beautiful song even better with your mandolin rendition. Love hearing you play.
Gorgeous simply gorgeous
Thanks Bear!
Beautiful rendition of one of my favorites!
Thanks Jason!

@@Sparks53 I removed it, black also. It was nice, I just don't care for them and remove them from everything. ENJOY!
I think you have a higher end Northfield that looks similar, Frank-- some players really need a pick guard because of their style but I never did
love it .very relaxing .
Thanks E!
Very nice😊
Thanks Darrell!
Thanks! 😊
Thanks Bruce!
Really nice!
Thanks Michael!
Good choice of tunes Frank. Looks like a Northfields mandolin, what a great tone it has. You’ll have to let me know what strings you use.
