I remember doing lots of on-campus interviews with biglaw firms when I was a 2L at BC Law. I didn't realize it, but my rural western PA (hillbilly) roots were extremely obvious at the time, meaning that I never had a real shot once I got to the second interview stage. Luckily, the U.S. Postal Service didn't care and hired me anyway, which started me on a career path as a federal sector employment law attorney. This was a lucky break for me, although I didn't realize it at the time.
