    I've tried most makes over the years as a carpenter. None last longer than Snickers. They are worth the extra money imo.

    Excellent pants. I bought 1 pair to give it a go. Love them. The stretch on them is amazing. I do scaffolding in nyc. Climbing snd bending over os so much more comfortable. Bought another 6 pairs plus belt and knee pads. Well worth the price

    Interesting news- worn Snickers trousers for years and can’t fault them, it will be interesting to see if their new design is just a gimmick or an improvement. Thanks for posting.

    Maybe this needs a bit more explanation. Snickers older 3 series has a baggy cut to allow for kneeling giving more room in the thigh etc. However not everyone who's the same waist is the same shape so in many situations they were too loose. The 6 series is cut more to a jeans fit - Not skinny jeans - just a more modern fit. However you still need freedom of movement without ripping the seams. This is exactly what the 4 way stretch gives. Now it's not the perfect cut for everyone, nor is it the right price for everyone. But if you want comfort, durability (not just when working but driving too) and a smart trouser that you will be in for anything between 10/12 hours a day then this could be perfect for you. If the cut on the 6 series is too narrow then we still have many styles of the looser 3 series to choose from.
    Plus there are many alternatives in the market that may suit your personal fit and budget better. Snickers, like all other brands, is a choice and Workwear in the UK is changing - Hopefully for the better !! Only time will tell.

    good trousers but the waist needs to be stretch. or at least a bit more forgiving in the waist some days they feel tighter than others ,obviously sometimes your bloated etc , easier for bending as you do when on site ,

    In Denmark we have been using workwear for 50+ years.
    I understand that using this is “new” for many.
    Ofcourse in Denmark the Company you work for, Will pay for everything you’ll be wearing on site.
    Do you have to Buy Your own workwear in England or ireland?

    • @SkillBuilder

      Hi Micki
      Unfortunately in the U.K we have to buy our own workwear unless it is a uniform required by the employer. A lot of gus are self-employed so it is tax deductable.

      Always worth it, they'll outlast any other trousers. My Scuffs 3d come close to snickers. I've got the Floorlayers & Ruffwork trousers & they've been put through their paces. As a Heating engineer. I'm on my knees quite a lot. I've invested £40 on the snickers knee pads. The best of the best imho. Saves my knees. I've got 35-40 yrs of working life ahead of me, I hope. Better then knackered knees right.

      I see kids spending over a £100 on a pair of trainers. I take my wife out for a meal and it is always the best part of £100. If you put a pair of worktrousers through your business how much do they actually cost you?

    • @robinturner2300

    • @SkillBuilder
      @SkillBuilder  6 років тому +5

      Robin
      My point is that
      it is money you are not giving the tax man so I think you are maybe not aware that if you pay 40% tax everything you put through as a business expense is costing you 60% of the price. If you are also vat registered then you get the vat back before you even start. No offense but I don't think a lot of builders are really that clued up on the business side of things.

    • @robinturner2300
      @robinturner2300 6 років тому +2

      Skill Builder and you are apparently not either. Clothing isn't tax deductible except where it's is business logo'd uniform, hasn't been for years. No offence but check the HMRC web site and you'll see I am correct.

  • @joeshaft

    slim fit?? come on. workboots barely go under normal trousers, and now with these 'pipe cleaners' its even less likely. also, slim fit will mean you can fit less tools in the pockets as theyll be tighter to your legs. looser fit trousers are always better as they're not so clingy and keep you a bit cooler in warmer weather, and you can fit plenty of stuff in the pockets as they have room to expand. I wouldnt want to be putting screwdrivers, pocket level, tape etc in a pair of slim fit being chaffed all day to bits.
    Nice idea, but dont think they will take off in the mainstream. Slim fit is a pain in the ass, frankly, when it comes to finding comfortable trousers. I nearly live in work shorts and work trousers as JEANS are so hard to find, and now this nonsense is coming to the work trousers.....

    • @SkillBuilder
      @SkillBuilder  6 років тому +4

      You still have the choice of something with a bit more room and this is really about the young guys. A lot of them really seem to like these trousers and I know some who spend that kind of dosh on a haircut. Mostly electricians.

    • @joeshaft
      @joeshaft 6 років тому +1

      I know what you're saying, and as an avid snickers fan, I just couldn't get behind this product. I just hate to see a great product lose practicality for the sake of 'fashion' if you will. I love all my snickers products, especially their shorts, but making slim fit work trousers is just a lot of nonsense and a total contradiction. I know you're getting a sponsored video out of this so you can't be against them, but you know what I am saying makes logical sense.

      To be pedantic a shill is someone who pretends to have no association with the company they are endorsing. The first thing on the screen is a notice telling you that this is a sponsored video. Sometimes we have commercial content on this channel but we are upfront about it. Look at the shirt.
